Regardless of what happens with Peyton I as a long suffering Texans fan just wanted to take a moment to savor this little nugget. It is particularly savory because it is true.
Waiting for Mort or Schefter to report otherwise. "Contrary to reports, the Texans are NOT meeting with Peyton Manning, nor have they inquired about his status."
^^^That puts a smile on my face! C'mon Texans roll the dice for once, it would be championship or bust with Manning on board.
He'd have to take a pay cut to play for us. But I imagine at this stage in his career that isn't too big of a deal.
He's visiting Houston alright....... to see Mike Munchakalacka and Bud Adams of the Titans. I hope Rick Smith invites him in, and kicks his neck like you would kick a tire on a used car just to do his due diligence. John McClain at 4:45pm on 610 to dispel the rumors
Lots of people are repeating it, but they seem to all be sourcing the same initial rumor. Until there's a separate source, I don't know how much value all these reports really have. I also think there could be some confusion given that Bud Adams lives in Houston and is coordinating his Peyton chasing from there.

LOL ITS DRAMA TIME! JeromeSolomon: JeromeSolomon A Texans official told me a month ago that the team would inquire about Manning when the time came. Would be stupid not to take a look-see. 13 minutes ago · reply · retweet · favorite
seriously, if manning were to end up coming here, shouldn't mclain be fired immediately? there's absolutely no reason for him to take a stance of such certainty unless he just wants credit for being "right"
Pancakes needs to be a food critic not texans beat writer. he doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.
Say what you want about pancakes but he knows more football than you will ever know and he's got more inside sources than you. He's calling it now that Manning isn't coming to Houston so when the dust settles he actually will know what he's talking about.
