I do. How'd he do this? I've heard of the cloud save stuff, but haven't really been interested in it.
I have to say, I was very disappointed to find out Traynor was a lesbian. Now I have to replay the whole game as female Shepard. I'll make her a renegade, too, I think.
Okay, load up your old save files on whatever hard drive you can. From there you can just move your files to cloud. If you try to click copy it will give you an error because cloud is kind of dumb. From there you can start it up on whatever hard drive you play and load it from cloud. Then move it back to said hard drive. Remember it doesn't copy just click move. Don't understand why you can't copy since you can just save twice and move the file over and have a copy on both cloud and your hard drive.
If you can't import a save file, you have to start from scratch and the game will make some assumptions about what happened previously. I'm not exactly sure what those are. The only one I know for sure is that they assume you destroyed the Collector base at the end of ME2 instead of preserving it. You do come across all of your squadmates from the first 2 games provided they lived. I'm interested in learning what would've happened if they'd died. If they'd just be replaced by another character you don't know or what. Anyway, Wrex lived in my ME1 save so he was there in ME3. I'd like to believe they'd assume he's alive in ME3. He was alive in the Demo so that's a good sign.
Yeah, it's not the same though. I know it will do all that, but I can't even remember everything I've done throughout the games. Heck, I'm sitting here trying to remember whether I did destroy the Collector base or not Lol
To be honest, after looking at the assumptions/choices the developers put into the game if you don't have a file to transfer from the first two games, I don't think I'm going to play ME3. It's a shame, but they assume that I did everything opposite of what I actually did. So if you do NOT have an import, here is what you are looking at for previous decisions: ++++ Mass Effect 1 choices ++++ - Garrus was recruited - Wrex was recruited - The feros colony was not saved - Shiala, the asari, was killed by the Thorian - The Rachni Queen died - Shepard killed Wrex on Virmire - Shepard had no romance (oh noes!) - The destiny ascension, along with the council, was destroyed. - Udina was named counsellor - All side missions and DLC content are considered as if you did not do them ++++ Mass Effect 2 choices ++++ - It is assumed Shepard did not do any loyalty missions - Shepard did not help Mordin, as such no chance was made to save or destroy the genophage cure data. - Tali was exiled by her people - Shepard had no romance - Zaeed and Kasumi were never recruited - Mordin is alive - Garrus is alive - Miranda is alive - Jacob is alive - Grunt was never woken up from the tank and as such is never mentioned - Jack died during the suicide mission - Thane died during the suicide mission - Tali was recruited and is alive - Tali never romanced - Samara was never recruited, but she fought her way off of ilium and was then murdered by Morinth. - Legion was never reactivated and never gained a name - Shepard destroyed the collector base - The only normandy crew members that survived the suicide mission were Joker and Chakwas. Yeoman chambers and all other mass effect 2 non-squad members died. - Shepard did not complete optional N7 missions and assignments (such as citadel missions) - Shepard did not complete Arrival, Overlord or the shadow broker DLC. But the events of Arrival and Overlord happened off screen, the batarian system still exploded, and Liara is still the shadow broker. ++++ End ++++ That's ridiculous. I'm not playing it sadly. Let me know if I need to spoiler all that by the way.
Thanks! I have to spread some around before giving you my (only 1 point) rep. But from what you said, it seems pretty underwhelming compared to the hype this final installment has been getting. This is probably the biggest disappointment for me. Why would they not include a player vs player mode?? Do they want to be different from Halo or something? It just doesn't make sense.
JusBleezy, my buddy had the same problem since he played the first two on xbox and bought ME3 on computer. He solved that by just downloading a playthrough that mimicked his choices so it is like he already played it on computer. Oh well, you can always just play it when they bundle them all together for cheap!
Yeah, that's pretty much the opposite of what I did as well. It actually makes me want to play through it again without importing a save just to see how different it is since I had interactions with Wrex, Grunt, Jack, Samara, Legion and Thane though his death shouldn't affect the story as much as the others.
About the endings: Spoiler I was fairly disappointed by the endings. After going through each one, my initial reaction was, "Okay...that's it?" The endings were alright, but lacked any kind of explanation of the aftermath and any closure for the characters and races involved. I decided to visit the BioWare forums afterward and I found a thread saying that the entire end sequence - starting with Shepard getting hit by Harbinger's beam - was a hallucination or an attempt by Harbinger to indoctrinate Shepard. I was skeptical before reading it, but after going through all the evidence and inconsistencies about the end sequence that the forum members bring up, it seems somewhat likely that they're on to something. http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/9727423/1 Take a look at the thread if you want more info on this theory. The thread author has edited his initial post with all the evidence/inconsistencies gathered from other users in the thread. That way you won't have to go searching through a gigantic thread.
You're solution only works if you buy ME3 on the pc is what you're saying? Yeah, it certainly does suck brother. I'm trying to force myself to play through ME2 to get what I want out of ME3, but...... nahhhh I just don't want to do it. I have Batman: Arkham City, Dark Souls, and Resistance 3 that I haven't even opened yet. Along with finishing Skyrim and trying to win a championship in UFC Undisputed 3. While I'm in school, there's just no time to go back and replay it again.
I have never play ME1 before and I had a hell of a time loving ME2. Non of my companions die in ME2. If you did all their loyalty mission(which you should) then I don't see what the problem is. Of course I'm planning to play ME1 and bring my character over to 2 and from 2 to ME3. I might just play ME3 without importing anything from ME2 to see what the story and play through will be like and replay with a imported version.
Alright guys. So imagine you meet a girl while you're both in your teens. She's pretty, a little lacking here and there but you really like her and you want to commit to this girl. For the next couple of years you woo her, taking out time with your brahs and family to hang out with her. You even sacrifice a little bit of time at work to talk to her. As the years go by, you realize that she's starting to get prettier and prettier. Everybody sees her potential and how pretty she can get, the hype is on. You're excited because you and her have been getting along very well, and you're looking forward to spending all of your time with her. She tells you how all these years of effort to woo her will pay off, and you two would elope into the sunset together happily, she promised and pinky swore! Then comes the day where you two were supposed to elope, you're excited to see the ending ahead of you and you're ready to go. You wait for her at the location you promised only to find out she's a DUDE this whole time, and have been having sex with your best friend, your dad and your uncle behind your back. Nothing makes sense to you, and everything you have done for the past couple of years turns into nothing. She wanders off and you're left behind confused, angry and betrayed. That's how I feel about the ME series now.
The problem is I built up a character and made choices from the first two games that won't transfer over. I did every loyalty mission, mined every planet, and found all the side quests. To start a new ME3 with all of those quests being made irrelevant just isn't happening and I don't have the time to play through ME2 again just to get everything like I want in ME3 at this time. Perhaps during the summer though.
I have no idea about anything you just typed. After reading your post I feel kinda confused and angry.
