Now that the cat is apparently out of the bag, let me answer the question on becoming a walker even if you aren't bitten, at least in the source material: Spoiler you don't have to be bitten or scratched to change into a zombie. Simply dying activates the virus. On anyone. By the way, I liked the way Shane died in the comics better. Spoiler He did it BEFORE he was reanimated. They set it up perfectly for that & dropped the ball again. Eh.
He didn't. Now it looks like getting bitten doesn't do anything but kill you. As was said above, it seems you turn when you die, no matter how it happened.
I think you have a weak memory. The episodes that centered around that kleptomaniac lady in Breaking Bad put me to sleep.
What is up with Glenn turning down Maggie again? Does he want to date for awhile to see how things work out? He got the watch last week. That means the buffet is open. Friggin' Lori had to give Shane the ole glimmer of hope. Just had to kick the hornets nest again. And as usual, she has no idea where Carl is when he strolled out to check on Rick killing Shane in a dark field.
really? it wasn't great but still... the worst episode imo was "The fly" where walt finds the fly in the lab and has his OCD take over. The entire span of the episode is catching the fly which was annoying but it still showed the connection between him and jessie and have nice flashbacks.
I like that Rick acted BEFORE Shane makes his ultimate decision whether or not to kill him. I mean, Rick had been able to talk Shane down before, and there was decent ambiguity over whether he had done so again. Rick: "There is still a way back from this...We can walk back together..." Shane considers it. Rick guts him. Well done.
For real! Dude finds a hot girl who puts out in a zombie infested world and is about to ruin it all by being all emo? That sadder than Sophia turning into a walker!
I really thought Rick was going to start talking, and mid sentence shoot him. When that didn't happen, I actually thought Rick was going to try and talk Shane back to the farm and try to reform him; then I would have been done with the show.
I loved the opening scene too! This episode and the last one also (Daryl's interrogation). I thought for this episode (the opening scene), starting the intro music early was genius, really set the tone for the episode.
this was confirmed tonight by two deaths not by zombie. at this point I don't see how someone can miss that. this was what the doctor told Rick at the end of season 1 and what fans of the comic have been alluding to you are confusing people - are you talking about the discussion show with Chris Hardwick?
how was that confusing? now i'm confused. yes the show talking dead with chris hardwick is lame. so very very lame.
"Everyone get in the house, and lock up! " Carl walks alone out in the field to find his dad.. I swear that walk that Rick and Shane took through the woods probably lasted longer, yet they were in plain sight of the farm. Am I the only one seeing a Glenn-Daryl bromance blooming? Maybe in the next episode Glenn goes off to save Maggie (in the previews, she's in trouble) and Daryl ends up saving them both.
