If the Rockets want a PG that is quick with great handles, that can penetrate the lane, but probably will turn the ball over or get it blocked, then they should give me a call. I would be cheaper than Flynn. :grin:
I don't give a hot damn about the whole +/- thing, but it's obvious to any basketball fan that Flynn lacks the skills to be a point guard in this league. I mean, WTF was that shot/pass in the fourth quarter tonight? It looked like a little person reenacting Magic Johnson's hookshot. Then, the Cavs come down to hit a three and this dude throws his arms around to show his disdain for the refs. The refs had nothing to do with his idiotic play. Waive him.
I voted Hasheem and stick with it even after tonight. Simply because Haseem is a 7 footer and has somehow rendered himself useless to a NBA roster that needs a big man.
And why is thabeet in the poll.. he doesn't play.. so that make him irreelvant..u have lee,dragic and parsons in the poll?? Some people shouldn't be allowed to make threads..
In this particular case, the +/- is indicative of reality. Everything for the Rockets is truly terrible when he is on the floor.
Flynn is worse than useless. When Hasheem does get out there, nobody gives him the ball at the beginning of the set to make something happen. I voted Thabeet but I regret it. If they really needed him, they'd put him in and he'd float around the rim, occasionally getting a rebound, more often committing a turnover or a stupid foul. With either guy we're playing 4 on 5 but at least Thabeet doesn't single-handedly make every offensive possession a folly. Never mind worst Rocket on the current roster -- Flynn is the worst NBA player I have ever seen. Ever.
I voted Flynn. Thabeet isn't that bad. At worst he's a big stiff who can block shots and makes numerous defensive mistakes. He won't ever get a chance to show that, though.
If Hasheem Thabeet does not win this poll and Johnny Flynn is not the runner-up, I have to come to the conclusion that there is no justice in this world.
