    Is Morey asleep or something??? This is a no brainer. It doesn't matter the protection on the pick. We would have two 1st round picks in a deep draft.

    Wow DM should be lining up to get this ASAP if the pick is unprotected. Okafor is overpaid but is starter quality on an average team. Nevermind the kaman salary dump Okafor will give us a placeholder big as well as another lottery pick in a deep draft (probably Minny since Rubio is down).

    If its protected NVM. Anyway Stern owes us for messing up our championship aspirations this year.

    Depends on level of protection, top 5 or top 10, guarantees we won't have that draft pick for a few of seasons.

    Top 14, whenever, but it would be a run of the mill first round pick.

    You guys would be crazy not to take this deal. I would trade Martin and Scola for Okafor and the pick! This could be a top 3 pick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even a small chance at Anthony Davis!!!!!!!!!!! C''mon Morey!

    That's not how the logic works, the protection DOES matter.

    If Stern places a top 5 protection on the pick, we get nothing out of the draft because NO are currently slated to get the third pick. We would have to wait for the next draft and hope that they continue to suck.

    Unprotected or protected will be the main issue, then it will be a matter of us having enough expiring contracts or low money deals to Okafor in return.

    I agree... not a deep draft and very top heavy.

    Lots of people are thinking that Morey can continue to go deep into the draft and pull (Rabbits out of a magic hat) players out of his Azzzzz..

    DM is one hell of a GM but this time the rules for us have changed do to Sterns blocking of trades... and other owners pulling strings.


    I'm just going along for the ride.. what can we really do but take the ride on the short yellow bus.

    I will let Less and DM drive one more time.

    what can I really do??... win the lotto and buy the team?

    I'm guessing they are offering the Minny pick and maybe next year's New Orleans pick, rather than what's expected to be a high pick this draft.
