My wife has lupus so it can sometimes be lupus... but it doesn't effect your stomach. It's Crohn's disease.

Wow, so much fail in this thread it's hard to know where to begin... First of all, you don't fake hospitalization sicknesses. The hospital themselves wouldn't go along with someone doing something as inane as that, mainly because it's medically unethical. It's not lupus, I know people with said auto-immune disease, and they exhibit multiple symptoms and the diagnosis is much harder than being in a hospital for 2-3 days (not a lot is known about it, so it's more of a process of elimination than a "wikipedia says you have butterfly rash which equals lupus"). The surgery he had done was a minimally invasive procedure because they were under the impression he needed an appendectomy. MRIs can be used to show any inflammation, lack of circulation in vasculature, or swelling in organs. I had a similar stomach illness that required an MRI and it ended up negative - they sent me home with some pain meds to ease the discomfort and aid sleeping and said it would probably go away on its own, which it did. Lastly, if the team wanted to showcase talent for trade purposes, they would keep Jonny Flynn on the bench so that no team could see how god-awful he is at basketball at the pro level.
My personal opinion: Rockets told Lowry that it was in his best interest to act and fake it. Lowry agreed and abided. Lowry will get to continue to be a Houston Rocket and be a centerpiece of an NBA Team, while the Rockets trade someone else on the team (Dragic). Rockets also knew Dragic would play well yesterday against the Deron Williams-less Nets. They also know Dragic will play well today against Kyrie Irving. What a great audition. Finally a smart move by the Houston Rockets. Kevin McHale must be behind this....this is his Joe Smith 2.0.
This poster is a troll, and most trolls watch House where the doctor makes lupus jokes. He is trolling.
I doubt it...why? Because they could have just gone with, "he's got a pulled groin, will be out a week" and no one would have blinked. No reason to add the other stuff...
Hey guys, go ahead and get mad at common decency which can't possibly exhist on the Internet, but remember that Lupus is not really that funny to people who have it. I know people who have it and it is a serious, life threatening disease. Can we make herpes jokes instead?
Herpes is pretty debilitating socially, if it's on your face. I've seen people with face herpes, and TV tells me 90% of the population has it. So, that too is pretty insensitive of you sir. I think disorders are the way to go... Trichotillomania is a joke disorder; we can make jokes about that... I mean, really, Trichotillomania? How Is that even a thing?
