Huge respect? I don't know about that. At first, let's say LeBron>Wade. It was a clearout, 1 on 1 for LeBron. Every other superstar would be thrilled with that. It tells you about him, he was pretty clutch prior to that play so you might think he was confident. But instead he gave the ball to Wade and dissapeared in the corner. I am not hating, just saying that it tells a lot about Bron and this Heat team which is good. Wade>>>LeBron in the clutch. Excuse me? That was a very good defense. So in your opinion you double team Wade? How about having LeBron on the same team? It was a GREAT one on one defense. He was fortunate (George) not to get called for a foul and he almost got a piece of the ball. I'd rather have LeBron or Wade shoot over the top from long range than Chalmers or Bosh getting wide open look.
yeah like look at last night. in the final 2 minutes of regulation, lebron was only 3-3 with 8 points (all in the final 1:05) while wade was 0-0 with 2 turnovers. i'm surprised they didn't just take lebron off the court to let wade do his thing. yeah, like look at the final 2 minutes of the 4th quarter or OT, neither team ahead by more than 3. lebron is a terrible 4-27 shooting in those situations. oh wait, i'm sorry, those aren't lebron's numbers, those are the best closer in the game's. after last night, i believe lebron is only 5-11.
Even though this shot happened once every 2-3 days throughout the 90s and early 2000s it has to be the best game winning shot this season so far. They called the play for Wade, got the fans into it too. The only to make it more suspenseful would have been if they were down by one. The Heat timekeepers with some home cooking on that shot clock. Still .8 seconds left after it went in. It even looks like they hit it twice (wait, three times) to squeeze off more time. Wade is not a douche, you're thinking of #23 aka: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/8JBOnIruO8g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The problem is he's been hanging around with James too much.
sad thing is that if they win a championship the press will talk about all the "hardships" the heat had to endure. there isnt a bigger douchebag team out there although LAC are showing some glimpses of douchebaggery.
Uh, it was an iso play. You're not just going to leave your man and run to the top of the key to double Wade. You leave a member of the Heat completely open if you do.
