Why are teams like the Warriors and Blazers on NBA TV so much and not HOU

What is with the NBA and the ridiculously low amount of games we got nationally televised? I can completely understand if they only want to show the likes of the Heat or the Lakers but this is absolutely unacceptable. It seems like the Warriors have been on like 5 times in the past 2 weeks. I understand we don't have a superstar but we are still a decent team that usually lights up the scoreboard. Believe it or not there are a ton of Rockets fans throughout North America from the Olajuwon days.............hence many Muslims are rockets fans. Yet we have to watch the warriors every night. Absolutely ridiculous. It just sucks considering I only get to watch them online on a terrible stream or when they play the local team.

West coast team have an advantage because their games start at 9 and ESPN and TNT love the double headers.

We're on NBA TV occasionally, but us Milwaukee, Indiana and other central teams that aren't marquee draws aren't gonna get Much coverage

    Clippers
    Lakers
    Heat
    Thunder
    Mavericks
    Celtics
    Knicks
    Bulls

These teams and whoever they are playing are gonna dominate the coverage

I honestly think part of it is our hideously eye sore of a uniform. I mean seriously, outside of Houstonians (or more appropriately Rockets fans), who the hell can stand 48 minutes of that monstrosity?

I as a Rockets fan can barely sit through a whole game, let alone people who do not even support the team. McHale is to blame but also the players, it seems like we can never get an easy win. It's always ugly, grinding out till the last minute and iso ball.

We have no stars or superb history that anyone wants to watch, if I wasn't a Rockets fan I wouldn't give a F about this team.

West coast team's play late thats why. Not to mention we have no superstar doesn't help our cause too. Until we get one or make the playoffs, we won't have a national tv game.

1 more thing. Who in the hell calls NBATV national tv? We have been on NBA tv a few times this season and we still have some more games on NBATV this season left.

We have no Marquee talent......why would we get coverage?

Hell, even Suckramento gets on TNT/ESPN a few times this year. Probably slated for national TV thanks to Fredette; and he's stinking the place up.

So we play close games that go down to the last minute and that's *bad* for TV? Also, the "iso ball" that we apparently play is no where near the amount of iso ball that other teams play (if you happened to watch the Nets game last night, you'll know what isolation basketball looks like). In fact, I rarely ever see an isolation play. If a player takes a quick shot out of the offense or decides to put the team on his back and shoot without passing, that's the antithesis of bad coaching - it's bad playing. Now I agree he should reign that in, but in reality, every pro team has that problem at times.

The isolation plays that we end up running through the course of the game are wave-offs from individual players because they feel they can take their guy. I challenge you to find me an isolation play that is called from the bench and run before any other set.

Honestly I dont think the chinese are fans of this team anymore.....when I went to China for 2 months, the only games that were on TV were laker, boston, and Miami games. Its sad, but the super stars have taken over China.

It's a function of scheduling. The networks like to run doubleheaders. That means they want a game tipping off at 7pm EST and a game tipping off at 10pm EST. You've got 22 EST & CST teams and only 8 EST & CST teams. By simple numbers the Rockets have a lot more to compete with. That means you have to have an unbelievable team or a big time superstar to get air time if you're playing in those time zones. Hell, SAN barely gets any airtime and they're #2 in the west.

Meanwhile the Warriors have fewer teams to ompete with for that spot and have Mark Jackson always enticing his TV buddies to show them.

Our attendance is bottom 5 in the league and our tv ratings are bottom 5 in the league. We just don't have that many fans that watch the rockets.
