Uh, if he really wanted them DM probably could have gotten them. He wanted them at the right price, as in Melo with a signed contract and Amare with a physical and insured knees.

What most people seem to get is the player himself is like 30% of the factors in a trade, you need to take into account the circumstances of the situation and what you have to give up to get him.

Melo or Amare would've been a disaster contract wise and ballhogging wise, there's nothing 'quite well' about the front office done when judging those 2 idiots. Frankly, I think Morey is just chasing names and nothing based on the coach, team's play, our record or whatever. He's desperate for a star and has been since Artest left.

This is destroying??? They went into over-time and Rondo needed to put up a triple double just to beat a so called, "Scrub" in Lin, hahahahhah!!!!
    Rondo 7-20 shooting
    Lin 6-16 shooting

How long has Rondo been in the league, LOL....

Lin plays great defense actually, that's how he manages like 3-4 steals per game

if you watch the knicks, you'll notice that Lin is often running to cover someone else's open man

Looks like the Knicks are back to the old Knicks before all the Linsanity.

    Good.

The Knicks are missing their defensive anchors in Chandler and Jeffries. They lack chemistry because they have three players (JR Smith, Anthony, Stoudemire) in the starting lineup who weren't even on the active roster or even part of the team a month ago.

Doubt they'll be championship contenders even when they figure everything out, but they're at least better than their current losing streak.

I'm just talking about players playing better on offense against Lin.

Is there an Irving and Lin in the WNBA cauz that joke was so hilarious

Why does any ****ing comment on a player turn into calling him a scrub. No one is calling him a scrub. I don't know why reading comprehension is difficult.

Players are not absolutes. It's not superstar or scrub.

And Rondo is only 2 years older than Lin

If you watched the Knicks at all, Lin is only part of the reason. The Knicks play a lot of switching, so often-times, when the pg scores Lin isn't even the one on him - it could be anyone.

It's painful to watch Amare or Fields end up on a pg, but that's the genius that is D'Antoni's system.

That's not to say Lin is absolved of any blame. He's terrible at going over screens, but the reason the pg scores at all is because there is no Tyson Chandler in the paint.

Lin has good man-to-man defense and terrific help defense. To say pgs go off on Lin is somewhat uneducated of a claim.

A couple of months ago I pointed out that the Knicks had two "superstars" and a legitimate Center and they still couldn't win. People here at Clutchfans said they needed a real point guard to make eveything work, and that Carmello and STAT were not the problem. Well, they have a point guard now and it's not looking so good. I know, Chandler didn't play last night, but come on they still had two "superstars" and a legitimate point guard. All teams have injuries and have to play without key players at times. The Knicks played their best ball this season without Carmello and STAT, now they are back and they are sucking again. I guess people will now blame the coach or the water boy or the officials when the Knicks lose.

The Carmello and STAT experiment has failed, they need to make a trade and break those two guys up. I'm sure a lot of teams would like to trade for Carmello, but I think STAT would be hard to move. "Superstars" don't automatically make a team a contender.

Except Irving didn't "rip him apart" as you described. Why backpedal so hard?

They aren't superstars, they're being paid like superstars. You've got to be a superstar on both ends of the floor. The Knicks may have superstars on offense but a D-League team on defense.

This team needs defensive minded players, they pretty much ahve one of the most talented rosters in the entire nba going down 10 deep but they just have to many idiots.

I like shumpert and fields a lot, they are solid hard working players who move without the ball well. amare is stinking up defence hard and his offense has slightly begun to improve and he needs to keep it at that rate, but they cannot keep starting amare and melo and play big minutes because the defence is torrid...

PLaying hard on defence will spark your offense leading to fast breaks and more energy. Knowing you can shut down ur defence can do so much for your team mentally and emotionally.

With Lin at pg this team has no problem scoring at all, even without melo they will have no problem scoring, its the defence and coaching problem.

Not backpedaling. I'm saying that PGs step up their game against Lin and the Knicks.

I won't pretend to watch all Knicks games but I do remember watching Calderon rip Lin apart (until Shump switched onto Calderon). Rondo get into the paint every time against Lin. Irving also had a good offensive game against Lin.

Lin hasa a decent amount of bad turnovers but otherwise, offensively, Lin has been quite awesome.

VBG you just keep restating the same thing over and over. It's all black and white to you and you don't seem to have an open mind about a real discussion which makes it seem like you have an agenda or something.
