I agree. I don't wanna just give Kyle away for Gasol because he's our most valuable trade piece. Not sure how we could work out smith and gasol because they both play the 4 spot.
McGee is possibly worth $10M but he's not worth $18M. Blatche would has almost no basketball value. He's just a terrible contract. If you have to take on his terrible contract to get McGee you're basically paying $18M for McGee. And that's not worth it at all.
Three way trade between Bucks/LAL/HOU HOU in: Bogut, Gasol, Walton HOU out: Scola, Martin, Dragic, Patterson, Budinger, Thabeet LAL in : Scola, Jackson, Dragic, Sanders LAL out: Gasol, Walton Bucks in : Martin, Thabeet, Patterson, Bud Bucks out: Bogut, Jackson Our lineup... Bogut Gasol/Hill ?Parsons/Morris Lee/Twil Lowry/? w/ DMo and Llull coming over next season! WIN!
If Bogut comes back really strong Orlando could, feasibly, be better next season than they have been this year. If not, they still have Lowry + Morris + Sanders + first round pick to comfort them. Milwaukee gets better in this deal which makes the pick being sent to Orlando better. Milwaukee sheds themselves of Udrih's bad contract, and gets back two players who can help them get to the playoffs this year. Big attendance & TV money in getting to the playoffs instead of being the 9th seed. As for us, we wind up looking like this: Dragic/Udrih Lee/Budinger Parsons/Budinger Scola/Patterson Howard/Hill Is that a championship contender? I don't know... it's a pretty good supporting cast for Howard, though. Better than most of the other trade ideas I've come up with. Scola, Patterson, and Hill automatically get a LOT better with Howard patrolling the paint because they can knock down that 15-18-footer with ease and clean up garbage on the weak side. Lee and Budinger can hit the open threes on the perimeter. Dragic, Lee, and Parsons are all quality defensive players, so perimeter defense should be a strong suit to go with Howard's all-world defense in the paint. Does Howard sign an extension to play with this team though? It's hard to justify giving up Lowry if he doesn't at least exercise his player option.
A proposal for Bogut S.Dalembert, H.Thabeet, P.Patterson and knicks pick (possibly add Parsons, Bud or Morris) For A.Bogut and D.Gooden Why bucks do it - This trade doesn't look that appealing for the bucks at first glance but its solid. With the bucks trading bogut they would no longer be in playoff contention, and with Jennings being so young they are in no hurry. They would have S.Dalembert, S.Jackson, B.Udrih and M.Dunleavy all coming off the books in a couple years giving them A LOT of cap space. Patterson is a solid young piece with a promising future, Thabeet is expiring and they get mid/late a first round pick in a good draft. We also take Gooden of they're hands - 7 Mill for 4 years and is 30 years old. Why we do it - We get bogut who has potential to pan out by staying stay injury free (Like they K-Mart deal) get Gooden who is a serviceable PF and essentially loose non of our trade assets except for patterson and a pick. Therefor Being in the same position to trade for an allstar while possibly gaining the second best center in the league. If this were to pan out we would be something fierce next you with a possible line up of K.Lowry,S.Llull C.Lee,C.Budinger C.Parsons,M.Morris P.Gasol,D.Gooden,D.Motiejunas A.Bogut,G.Smith That is just one potential trade after the bogut trade, we could go for others instead like Granger, J.Smith or Pierce. Don't forget about free agency...the possibility's are endless lol but never the less a great type of deal IMO.
I feel like Bud would go to Lakers, Dalembert would be included in the deal with the bucks along with the minny 2nd rd pick, and the NY pick would be dealt to Lakers.
Wizards - Rockets - Nets Wizards trade - McGee, Blatche, Turiaf in - Humphries, Dalembert, Bud Rockets trade - Dalembert, Bud, 2nd-rd pick in - McGee Nets trade - Humphries in - Blatche, turiaf, 2nd-rd pick Hawks - Rockets Hawks trade - Josh Smith in - Patterson, Morris, filler(Thabeet) 2014 2nd-rd pick Rockets trade - Patterson, Morris, Thabeet, 2014 2nd-rd pick in - Josh Smith c - McGee / J.hill pf - J.Smith / Scola sf - Parsons / Twill sg - Kmart / Lee pg - Lowry / Dragic
This trade <=> Lee signs Rockets: IN D.Harris, D.Favors OUT K.Martin, G.Dragic, NYK pick -Favors produces, but does not put up big numbers even when he gets playing time. -D.Harris is more than servicable / G.Dragic was going to walk anyway (it is good to see him get his starting spot even if with them) -IMO we are a better TEAM now with Lee on the floor anyway -NYK pick with Donatas Motiejunas and Sergio Llull both coming over next year how young/new to the NBA do we really want to be? (add M.Morris and G.Smith to this mix as well) Jazz: IN K.Martin, G.Dragic, NYK pick OUT D.Harris, D.Favors -They need spacing / scorer - K.Martin is one of the best at this -G.Dragic is as good as if not better than D.Harris -NYK pick the pick (16th at the worst - mid to late lottery at best) overall makes the Jazz a better team by giving Jefferson and Millsap room to work and upgrade a the point, too. G.Dragic just looks like a Jazz player to me - I think it is a nice fit for him and he will sign and play with them for years to come.
Rockets out Martin, Williams, and Bud Milwaukee out Bogut, and Ilyasova Ilyasova is the key it allows for us to trade Scola and have someone to pair with Pat and if we have to deal Pat in a big deal we have a young serviceable F
