The Mavs could offer Dirk and NOTHING ELSE versus the Rockets with Pau, Bledsoe, Parsons, Budinger, Patterson (and hopefully Courtney Lee, but that would depend on the FA market as to whether he could fit with the new CBA exceptions). We would also have a bounty of future 1st round picks (we would have to trade all of this year's picks for future 1st rounders so as not to incur their cap holds). Hard to say that Houston would not be the more attractive landing spot. And if they don't like what we have to offer? Well we are in full rebuilding mode with a ****-ton of money, picks, Pau as our centerpiece (of a future trade? perhaps) and a few nice young players. BLOW IT UP!!!!
