    Great Bill Simmons quote today.

There still isn't anybody doing more with less.

    Simple, fit.

Parsons is not >>>>>> to Chase.
Bud is a terrible fit next to Scola and Martin because his strengths/weaknesses do not mesh well with the veterans.
the party boy is better next to Gasol and Lee's skills.

Definitely not an important point though in looking at the big picture because I don't think you can win with either as your starting SF.

Best defensive starting lineup in the league?

You mean the same San Antonio Spurs that Memphis dismantled in last year's playoffs while the Griz played without their best perimeter player?

Their team construction has 0 to do with them winning or not. Chicago will never come out the east until they find another star to combet the heat. That doesnt mean their construction is bad vs the heat just have better players. To think the grizz took the thunder to game 7 after killing the #1 seed, and theyre a 3 seed minus zach, being foolish is an understatement. You're not dumb, but that was a dumb post by you.

I don't think Morey is thinking any particular thing. He's being opportunistic. If that means building around a one huge superstar like Dwight, three all-star caliber players like Gasol, Lowry and a FA, or 1-2 all-star caliber players and fantastic depth around them... any of those is fine.

I doubt he is restricting himself to any singular course of action.

He planned too much on Yao... that was and IS His Fault.
As much a fan of Yao you had to trade him with his value.

It's not Morey's fault if Les wouldn't let him trade Yao.

that was more Les than Morey. Yao was Les' cash cow and he wasn't going to give up on him

Officially it is..... we all know about Les... but if you want to find a scapegoat... can't be the coach... that is why Houston is not a top fit for Morey to operate as long as Alexander is here.
He can't fully unfold his potential... and he will always be No. 1 target of criticism.

I LOVE Al Jefferson, why no one ever mentions his name (seriously, why do you not hear a peep about this man?) in regards to anything, but he's a beast and is a very, very good player.

There are quite a few people that would want Al Jefferson here. I'd throw Kevin Martin plus filler to get him.

I'm sure Morey would love to have a team built this way. Is it because he watched Memphis last year? Probably not.

Well, it's better than a bunch of undersized role players and slight chance of even touching playoffs
