I'm sorry but any GM has to contact a future HOF FA QB or he is not doing his job. This includes our very own Smith. That being said, if I'm Rick, I'm asking an intern to all up Peyton's agent and start dialogue. This way I can deny direct contact. I'm sure these types of things are done all of the time and frankly I always want my team execs, staff, coaches, and players trying to improve if they think it is possible.
Evan Silva @evansilva [rquoter]From @Russellmania980 on ESPN: "From what I'm hearing...Manning's camp made it pretty clear to #Redskins that he doesn't want to come here." More @Russellmania980 on ESPN: "Unless that changes - and I'm taking my sources at their word - I don't think Manning's coming here to D.C."[/rquoter]
More roundup: Peyton can play, and the neck is "stronger than before"...but the prior nerve damage remains the big question http://www.usatoday.com/sports/foot...8/doctors-upbeat-on-manning-health/53424974/1 On Miami....with Wayne in tow http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/09/peyton-manning-reggie-way_n_1334391.html Dolphins the run away favorite to land Manning in betting pools http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...-dolphins-as-favorite-to-land-peyton-manning/ On Denver - “More realistic than people would realize” http://tracking.si.com/2012/03/09/brian-griese-peyton-manning-signing-with-broncos-very-realistic/ But an interesting rebuttle http://www.denverpost.com/paige/ci_20135514/broncos-wont-make-peyton-mannings-final-list Chiefs have already put an offer on the table http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ve-already-offered-peyton-manning-a-contract/ *note: it seems that the interest from the Chiefs and Broncos is fueling one another - neither wants to see the other land him.
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Denver Post is correct. Peyton Manning is en route to Denver to visit the Broncos. First visit does not mean Denver is leader in clubhouse. Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter Peyton Manning's trip west to Denver is expected to include other visits, such as the Arizona Cardinals, @mortreport and I are told.
Seriously New York Post? <a href="http://s1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii568/rohrman93/?action=view&current=Peyton.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1260.photobucket.com/albums/ii568/rohrman93/Peyton.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
So Sanchez, a mediocre QB thus far who has been the weak link of that team, had two years remaining on his contract, and they extended him and gave him huge amounts of money for 5 years? Wow.
..and this is the guy who's primarily dogged by his teammates for slacking off when he feels safe in his job. I love it. Keep it up JETS! LOL
Been following this thing for a few days now. Broncos and Cardinals are favorites to land him according to ESPN. I guess Elway really doesn't like Tebow at all It must suck to be a Broncos fan, how many QBs have they gone through in the past 2 or 3 years? 3? 4? My goodness, just pick someone and stick with him. It's like they have ADD or something.
[rQUOTEr]After at least 12 teams contacted Peyton Manning when he became a free agent, the former Indianapolis Colts quarterback has narrowed his options. The Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, the first two teams Manning visited, are considered his two likeliest landing spots, according to sources familiar with the situation. The Seattle Seahawks continue to try to arrange a meeting with Manning, according to sources, but so far they have been unable to do so. Manning still could wind up meeting with the Dolphins, but indications are that Miami isn't as high on his list as Denver and Arizona. There always is the possibility another team suddenly jumps into the fray, thhe sources said, but it is looking increasingly likely there are only a few viable possibilities at this time. One source who spoke with Manning prior to his visit with the Cardinals said "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."[/rQUOTEr]
Personally, I'd love to see Manning with the Titans. Lots of fun storylines. So what if we play him twice again? No fear.
