Make more money so that your wife can stay at home.... why have a child if you are having other people raise them.

Oh, you. There's no roosters in a Mexican household! It's a matriarchal society.

Their daughter is a year old.

My situation: My wife stayed home, watched the kid and got two master's degrees. Eh, heh heh...hrm.

At four-five, our son went to pre-school at a school with certified teachers. It wasn't a daycare.

Back when my in-laws were living, I would have paid $1100 bucks for them to NOT move into our house. You're crazy, in my opinion, if you do it. Your house will no longer be your own. Believe, or not, kids pass through the "getting sick at daycare" stage. Actually, these illnesses help build their immune system. Hang in there.

OP, do you recommend getting married and having kids? Sounds like a whole lot of trouble.

Eventually your drive, charisma and looks will fade; which means your career will eventually plateau and sexual partners will get uglier, fewer and farther between. At the very least you'll want a watermark and living, breathing witness to your former potential and charm. And if the wife is attractive and outgoing enough into your middle-aged years to look elsewhere, giving her kids is probably a nice little retainer.

1100 dollars for daycare...wow! And I thought I was paying a lot at 760. You might check other schools that charge less but provide just as good quality.

Yeah it'd be nice to have a stay at home caregiver, but these days that's hard to do. Plus I don't think you can overlook the value of preschool laying the foundation for their education. I feel confident my son's gonna handle the transition quite well when he heads to Kindergarten in the fall.

    Get your in-laws a $600/month apartment.

lots of truth in this post...

We thought about moving my wifes mom up to live with us. She was up for. Thank god we didn't, I now realize it would have been a fatal mistake.

Bro, if you're a man and you make good money & take care of your health and body, you can always get whatever sexual partners you want.
