Really? Lowry and Scola flop all over the place and you're worried about Pau? Pau's proven himself a solid defender who at worst flops no more than Scola.
Just piggybacking. It's entirely possible that the trade is / has been hung up because the Lakers are insisting that Lowry and Scola are not enough in return for Gasol and that is causing the trade to become more protracted with additional assets being discussed and offered up.
You didn't call anything. Lowry and Scola was always rumored to be what the Lakers wanted. People probably said it was a bad trade because they love Scola and his matador defense and Lowry and his complaining.
I really don't get Morey's obsession with Gasol. He's almost 32 and NOT a player to build around for the future. AIM for the stars, give Orlando whatever they want for Howard. Even if it's only for a a few weeks, I'd rather gamble on that.
I personally don't get this "soft" issue with Pau. What is soft? I consider flopping "soft" and we have pretty soft players in Lowry and Scola. Now Lowry and Scola aren't "soft" in shying away from contact and I have never Gasol do that either. Perhaps people can tell me why Pau is soft?
Agreed. If Howard stays then great. If not then it's not so bad. The team will finally be bad enough to draft a star of their own.
so i'm if the trade goes through our line up would look like this lowry/blake/flynn martin/lee parsons/kapono gasol/patterson/murphy murphy/dally/hill
Show me where he said that. Good luck. There, I already did the research for you. He was never reported to have said that he doesn't want to be in Houston. Closest you'll find is that he didn't want to leave LA because he wants to win more rings. CF has blown this way out of context. Please stop spreading this.
Obviously we know that they have been desperately attempting to move Pau for an upgrade at PG, therefore, we're trying to capitalize by throwing the Lakers every deal possible except the ones including Kyle. I don't understand that word but it's obvious that they don't have the pieces to offer for Deron and there next closest option is someone on a lower tier, hence their pursuit of Kyle. It's the trade deadline! Who hasn't waited till now to make a trade? Am I right?
C'mon, be semi-reasonable. Gasol is an all-star year in year out and is one of the best 20 players in the league. He's a star. Not a super-star, but just a star. That's better than anything we have now. Assuming the Lakers are willing to take a couple of quarters in exchange for a dollar bill, we could possible get Gasol. Dwight Howard is a superstar. He's the benjamin franklin to our roster of quarters, dimes and nickles. No combination of anyone on our roster equals his value and even if it did, why would you want a handful of pocket change for a benjamin franklin?
haha WE WOULD LOSE LOWRY!! our lineup would be more like dragic/flynn martin/lee parsons/budd gasol/patterson dalembert/hill MEH
I Daryl indeed does this trade I have to think there's more in the works and the lineup would change more. (Just my 0.02)
