Don't worry, the dude is gonna "like" him as soon as he posts his first double-double in a Rockets uniform,
Gasol is arguable no worse than Howard. He owned Howard in the 09 Finals. I'd be more than happy with keeping Gasol and leave the other headless chicken teams like NJ to go after Howard with all their assets plus their grandma's assets.

If we miss out on Gasol because we were reluctant to part with Lowry, I'm gonna feel royally dissed by the front office. Either Leslie didn't use his superstar fetish aura to influence his pawns, or Morey is way to keen on creating some red herring in all this Jeremy Lin mega-cockup in the form of "aggressively" pursuing Gasol. I don't see how you can "aggressively" pursue Gasol without putting Lowry in play.
Boston is so loose when it comes to dangling Rondo, and yet some of us are fortifying Kyle Lowry as if guarding your ancestral land.
Thank you! If we can get Gasol for Scola, Dragic, Martin and whomever else (draft picks, whatever) I am putting down the house on that. Get it done Morey. PLEASE! Just think, we will get Sergio over here with Gasol and great things are going to happen. Sure people may say some International players are soft and what not, but they want to win (I.E. Scola). We need winners on this team and players that have experience WINNING.
Lowry + Scola is what the deal would undoubtedly be in that scenario, and the combination of those two is higher trade value than Gasol alone. It isn't in Morey's DNA to lose a trade--nor should it be. I only see Lowry being included if Morey has another trick up his sleeve like combining Gasol with D-Will, or flipping Gasol for pieces to pick up Howard.
http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2012/03/09/20120308_gametime_da_trade_talk.nba/ David Aldridge mentioned that houston is really active and he predicted we will make some kind of trade. In fact, houston rockets have had a couple of different trade scenerios. at 6:50, he started talking about us. I am excited...
Pau isn't soft. He's anchored a championship defense more than once. Anyone who has actually seen him play in person will tell you he isn't soft. I agree with you on all of this. Imagine if we had just gotten him this summer...
EXACTLY. Sure Lowry has that Philly/Bulldog mentality as a PG, but nobody on here can name a PG that has single handedly won a Championship (without a big man or dominate SG/SF.
You are exactly right. I do not think he is soft at all. Sure guys like Howard (that are like twice his size) will handle Gasol in the paint. As you stated, he is a winner and he has a winning mentality. That is exactly what Morey sees in him. Half of the people on here are ignorant. But hey, this is a forum, everyone is entitled to their own opinion
Plus with Kobe Bryant as his backcourt partner, his stats are gonna suffer just like every other PG that goes to LA. Meanwhile Gasol will regain his No.1 "THE-MAN" option and become the beast that he was all those games Kobe actually passed to him. And also, when it comes to free-agency, is Morey gonna say, "hey come to Houston and form our dynasty with the You-Lowry 1-2 punch!" lol. I mean obviously Scola + Martin + Dragic + pick would be wonderful, but Lowry isn't as big of a loss as some may think. And that's coming from a fan whos favourite player on the team since T-Mac and Yao being Kyle Lowry.
true. but neither is anyone else on here discussing this Gasol trade. but hey, il be frank with you, IF i was the GM, then I know we'd never have gotten the 14th pick 2 years in a row.
