Don't start this.... you will lose.... #1 yes it is relevant to Rocket fans, as success or failure is largly dependent on the the other teams and how you perform in relation to them. #2 The Mavericks had opportunities to trade for Lin before the Warriors and Rockets released him, and they didn't.... what does that tell you? I love how people rationalize Gasol's salary by saying he's cheaper than Scola/KMart combo... THATS TWO STATERS VS ONE! Is Pau + scrub > Kmart/Scola? Resigning CLee is gonna cost... next year (and year after) Pau + CLee will be substantially more than KMart/Scola... I got no prob moving Scola or KMart but we can get more bang for our 18.7M buck elsewhere...
Well they don't have a power forward. Even though Scola sucks he's still better than McRoberts Pau Gasol's production/Stats are equal to a healty Yao Ming's. Seems like most people would be willing to pay Yao that money for 5 unhealthy years prior.

Orlando's haul would be very "Denver/Melo like" but Orlando still needs to shed roster spots to make this work. This is, of course, a dream scenario but I like the creativity. This would be one of the few scenarios where I would take Howard as a rental. No-way he doesn't resign in Houston if you pull something like this off.
