Yao was in uniform last year. He retired this offseason. ?? Two years ago we traded McGrady and Landry for Kevin Martin in an attempt to stay in contention with Yao. Last year we traded expiring players who clearly wouldn't be staying with us for young talent(dragic) large expiring deal(thabeet) and a two first round picks. How do you think Phoenix fans feel about that deal now? Were you against flipping Ariza for Lee? Are you upset we traded Brad Miller? Moving peas around? It sounds like good management to me.
Do you trust the Mavericks ability to judge talent? They let Lin go..... what about all the teams that worked Lin out and passed on him..... so I guess: Lowry, Brooks, Landry, Bud, Parsons, etc. were all flukes....
@stevekylerNBA Here is what I know about Pau Gasol and the Rockets... the interest is real... The question is who came off the dime?
You're wasting your time. If DaDakota decided that the earth was flat he would spend the rest of the year repeating it over and over, while deriding any "round-earthers" as unknowledgable.
I don't care about any of those other teams, that point is irrelevent to Rocket fans. And you are incorrect about the Mavs, they had him on their summer league team but had no rights to him, and GS offered him a better deal and he took it. It might help you some if you occassionally had your facts straight. DD
That is entirely unfair, and not true. If you like the deal, fine, we just have a difference of opinion. At the end of the day, none of us have any choice in the matter, we all have to wait for the dust to settle and cheer for the team. If Morey ends up making this team better, that is really all that matters to me......and I suspect you, right? It is all good. DD
are vague, cryptic comments by sudo-NBA experts like these going to suck away my Friday night as i repeatedly hit refresh? not this time. I learn from experience. Oh who am i kidding ...I'm a trade deadline intel w****. pathetic.
Same stuff that's been rumored forever: Rockets want Gasol without giving up Lowry. Lakers insist on Lowry. This is the "dime" that teams are on now. If either side relents, there is a deal.
Larry Coon @LarryCoon Still no confirmation on anything Gasol related -- and I checked with one of the best-connected people I know. GMs call HIM to find out.
If Houston does give up that many players for Gasol, i am hoping that he has another plan to at least get Kaman too. I feel we would have to give up too much for Dwight after getting Gasol.
That is absolutely untrue. 99% of the world is about relatives, you should know that if you ran a business. If one of your employee's work production is only a C- in your book, you don't fire him if everyone else is at a D.
