    I think the Rockets are close to the deal, but Lakers are just reporting they aren't to maybe get a better deal.

    My brothers a Laker fan, I bought him the Jerry West book. I believe Lazenby wrote it. So I'm guessing a insider or beat writer or something.

    so Beasley and Felton for Gasol? is that better than what the Rockets were offering? Sounds to me like Lowry truly was not offered then.

    It's probably Pau to Houston, Martin to Minnesota, and Scola/Beasely/Barea to LAL. Yes, LA gets away with highway robbery, but that's the only way to avoid getting vetoed.
