So, you don't even know what Lebron does on the Heat and you are talking trash about what he does? Do you even watch the guy play or do you just blindly hate him for dancing and having a good time? I don't get it.

I can imagine Pancakes freaking out, sweating, making calls and scrambling to disprove it. This guy...

I agree that AJ is 100% a class act, but if this is true (which seems to be debatable), I don't see how it's a sacrifice on his part. Unless their are unreported details, simply converting base salary to bonus means he would get his entire annual salary immediately in a lump sum. I may be wrong, but it only means the Texans can spread the amount out for cap purposes, not that Johnson is taking deferred payments. So if my understanding is correct, this is actually as beneficial for the player as it is for the team.

I do believe they are commenting on his physical appearance. It would seem that he likes pancakes.

    With syrup.

Translation: After reading La Canfora's article, having lunch, and cutting a fart that would DROP A HERD OF LIVESTOCK, I finally got around to calling AJ's agent. He asked me where I had been all day and then told me they are indeed restructuring AJ's contract but they hadn't physically done it yet. So I am officially breaking the news that it will be done before Tuesday. By the way, I have a HOF vote.

It came from this past training camp/preseason, where other reporters started tweeting about McClain's reports. IIRC, he stated he hadn't seen any bad Leinart throws or hadn't seen a particular receiver drop any passes....when the opposite was the case. They concluded that he was too busy gorging on the pancakes.

This is precisely the origination. McClain stated that Leinart hadn't thrown a bad pass all training camp. Then the other guy was stunned, saying that Leinart had thrown many bad passes. He went on to explain that McClain was never even over there watching practice, spending most of his time harassing girls and eating the food.

Yep - and I remember now - it was Jayson Braddock. He was doing a stellar job reporting from camp, and clearly annoyed with the hack job McClain was doing.

Hopefully, the chron will eventually realize how bad a joke this guy is and can him.

    Edit: here it is

    Pass the syrup

    Yeah, he's terrible.

I know what's going on here most likely. Teams and players don't like to make it known who has restructured contracts. If you read the Raiders reports on twitter you'll see their guy pointing out that the Raiders are breaking protocol by announcing restructured deals in an effort to show what players want to stay.

I have no doubt that Andre's agent and the Texans will say no restructuring has happened. 1) They don't want people to know 2) they likely haven't finalized anything yet.

McClain's information on the matter is useless since last season he barely understood that you could restructure a contract at all! (Despite the fact that this is not the first offseason the Texans have done it)

Ah yes, I remember it now! I was following camp very closely this year and was following Braddock religiously on twitter. I believe he had pointed out a couple of times that McClain was consistently over flirting with girls instead of watching practice.

Took another look at Jacoby Jones' contract. It looks like the Texans would save 4.7 million if they cut Jacoby Jones. Adios, Jacoby

    Good riddance knucklehead

I have this feeling that we aren't going to see them cut Jacoby. :(

Did anyone else hear Andre Ware on 790 a week or so ago defending Jacoby and Walter? He basically said the Texans don't need to and won't draft a WR because Jacoby and Walter work together to be the #2 that we need.
