That's stupid, Smith is an allstar that was snubbed for the past 3 years Lowry is nowhere near the level of Smith's play.

You guys gotta open your minds and get off overvaluing our players like this, seriously.

yes, I've seen a lot from bear and everytime a PF from the other team(no matter who) just drive through Luis Scola and that breaks my heart...
And he is not as effective in the paint as he use to be.

If I were our GM this is how that call would go.

    *Atlanta proposes trade*

I just had my assistant re-direct the team flight to Atlanta. Dalembert wears a size 16.

    /endcall

I don't overvalue Lowry by any means but trading him away for Smith would be pointless. Smith would probably hate it here if there was no Lowry either. The only player you trade Lowry for is another PG who's better ie. Deron Williams, Rondo etc. The goal would be to pair those 2 guys with one other Star whether it be a center like D12 or another wing player in the Iggy, Granger mold.

that is true and the proposal the hawks fans did shows that they don't really overvalue their players. If we want to get somebody good and we need to give up somebody good too. I don't think any single GM is stupid like in 2k12

Josh Smith would be great on the Rockets. You'd still need to do more dealing, though.

you need good point guard/good big man combo. lowry is a good point guard so trading smith for lowry would not make much sense.

But not too long ago it was the other way around (not saying for you but in general). No way we would trade a PG for another better PG, that would be stupid to upgrade at a position of strength.

I look at it this way, there is no way Deron will be traded unless he requests or flat out says, "NO, I'm not resigning with the Nets" therefore you need to find other venues and if giving up Kyle taking in Teague and resigning Goki or another backup PG is the way then so be it.

We can't stand in limbo the way we are, where we are going nowhere fast.

It would if you were confident that Llull can come in and fill the role.

What's stupid is taking all your trading chips and cashing them in for Josh Smith.

I think that the tpups might be a player here. I could see great flexibility with klove, jsmith, pek and rubio.

    This team would be SICK!

the way i see it, Smith gives us a young, agressive, All-star caliber, front-court player who can play 40 minutes and dominate on both sides of the ball. He is one of the most well rounded players in the league at his position. Houston is full of one-dimensional players, and that's part of the problem. Houston needs better front court defense and rebounding without a drop off in offensive prodction ....how can they not be salivating over this guy?

Josh Smith is more of a potential all star than Lowry would be plus he's only 26 and Teague is also a young PG that is learning the game.

Stupid is just staying put with this mediocre team and not being able to pull anything off to bring in higher level talent.

Trading Josh Smith for Kyle Lowry is like taking 1 step forward and 1.5 steps backwards. I won't argue the fact that Smith is more of a potential all star than Lowry but remember this... Lowry is the heart/engine of this team. He's our leader and plays his hardest every game. Josh Smith as talented as he is is still a very mercurial player and he's known for not giving full effort night in and night out. I could see Josh Smith on the Rockets without Lowry being very detrimental unless we are able to get another star/superstar pg. Something Jeff Teague/Dragic/Lull are NOT.
