I wonder what if the Hawks want the team whoever is trading for Josh smith to take Joe Johnson's contract. Are do still doing that if so?
Get Smith for Martin and Scola. Attract Howard as a free agent in the summer and create an impenetrable force in the paint on defense. No one will score in the paint on us!

I like that trade, we get rid of scola's contract and I don't know if Lowry's potential can be any higher than right now. HE is my favorite player and he plays tough, but I just do not see a lot of more potential in him. After that trade, we work on sending Kmart and Cbud to Min for something. I just cannot take Kmart anymore. He is got speed and shooting but he is really not aggressive on offense and I don't even want to talk about his defense
He could also attract Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, and, Hell! why not, Michael Jordan back from retirement. I suppose if we're dreaming, let's dream BIG.
Let's just be real. Atlanta is not taking Martin if we are not taking back Johnson ...and no one on this board should be thinking that taking back Johnson is acceptable. Not saying the Hawks are the smartest organization, but they are not gonna put almost half their cap into two over-paid shooting guards.
Well, Marvin is not that bad and I checked a couple of games he played this season, he is got the shooting tough and his fight hard under the basket and I think he is like Thaddeus Young with a better shooting maybe?
I was checking a Hawks forum, and this trade idea kept coming up. Dalembert, Patterson, Dragic, (possibly NY pick) for Smith. I think the price there may be a little steep, (We go back to not having a center, lose Patterson) but seeing as we land Jsmoove I would have to be ok with it. Most Hawks fans seem to think this is a fair trade.
That is not bad trade for us, and we can still trade for Kaman... That proposal is very realistic. I am glad that the Hawks fans are very objective on this. Josh smith here we come.
