the Arian deal wasnt overly inflated considering other deals of RBs, Marshawn Lynch will get almost the same money. Adrian Peterson and Chris Johnson deals are very inflated deals.
Miscommunication there. I was saying that Arians deal was not paying at a premium and a very fair and respectable deal. For a player like him it was very good. I'd take that everyday of the week and twice on Sunday
Question: Does the Kubiak lead team . . .take care of offensive players over defensive players? Rocket River *grin*
They took care of Demeco. It's a viable question, but I think we have had a lot more players worthy of being "taken care of" on the offensive side than we have the defensive side.
williams and it's not even close. he could have had 20 sacks this year the way he was playing under wade. also smith was excelling with williams in the line up. myers is a center. a very good one but you don't tie up tons of money on a center.
Have heard from a couple of sources now, including Lance Z that Texans are working on a deal for Mario and he still believes he will be a Texan
I have a feeling it's going to happen. I don't know how, but remember that nobody thought we could afford J-Jo and Manning last offseason. I think Wade is not going to let them shoe Mario out the door. He had a chance to become a head coach this offseason but he chose to stay here, so it'd serve us well to keep him happy.
The sources he tweeted today are highly questionable: RT @JayDirt_: @LanceZierlein @MJ4Sports I'm going on record, my sources say Mario will be a Texan. They are working on the deal now Lance Zierlein @LanceZierlein Have had two people who are working on Mario's house tell me that he (Mario) believes he'll still be a Texan. We shall see.
It will be intriguing if they manage to sign Mario and let Dreesen and Myers walk. I mean, they can't really expect to go into this next season with a rookie center, can they? That seems like a recipe for disaster, to me.
fwiw. Does this mean there's something a brewing? http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/03/08/tex...restructure-contracts/?campaign=Twitter_blogs Jason La Canfora Texans’ Johnson, Cowboys’ Bryant restructure contracts By Jason La Canfora | Published: March 8th, 2012 | Tags: Andre Johnson, Dallas Cowboys, Dez Bryant, Houston Texans
Mike Brisiel can also play C and he would be cheaper than Myers. He's also probably a worse C but you can't have an all star at every position. Either way you need a new Guard because signing Myers means you can't afford Brisiel and moving Brisiel to C means you need to replace Brisiel. So pick one... 1. Rookie Center, vet guard 2. Vet Center, rookie guard 3. Keep both, lose money for other FAs. Maybe lose Mario.
Is Andre the first player to restructure? If so, I believe it's a given that Demeco and a few others will as well. I don't quite understand why the team hasn't released Jacoby yet. I can understand not releasing Leinart until they are sure of Schaub's health, but Jacoby should be cut NOW to start making some moves, IMHO. Moe
People seem to forget we can simply add a low price free agent. We got Myers for a late round pick and low pay. Kubiak can spot the guys that work. We'll be alright if Myers walks. Kubiak wont risk a rookie at C unless he's confident in Konz.
You can do that? restructure contracts? -have a gravy day, pancakes. Seriously though..hope we can retain all of them. Dez Bryant's restructuring probably hinting at the possible signing of AJ's punching bag that or he needs money asap to pay for a new diamond grill.
