Bull****. Men can also get laid whenever they want, if they're not choosy.

In a totally unsurprising turn of events, this thread has been taken over by an army of double-standard pushing psuedo-misogynists.

    Good job everyone.

I've never heard of it being that cheap. Where do you get your prescriptions filled?

totally different argument. An annual well woman checkup is important but even more so if taking hormones. If someone isn't willing to do that then they have bigger problems than birth control.

I never knew it was that hard and/or expensive for a woman to get the pill. This whole argument just seems so minor and insignificant

You can also fight for BC deregulation, and stop the government from restricting access.

    My turn: you are delucional.

Rush should deserve what he gets and get what he deserves. There will always be differnces of opinion... and that is the challenge.

THere are numerous documentary films made about the mysogony of rappers yet you don't seem concerned. Maybe you don't listen to rap but I bet you dont' listen to Rush either.... yet you are all over this, aren't you?

None of you guys are saying why you think BC shouldn't be included in women's health insurance policies.

    Why not?

I love how something that is being debated is viewed as being "taken over."
    NO BIAS HERE OR THERE!

By the way, I'm pushing for a single standard.

I listen to some rap. I certainly don't support any sexist messages in rap either.

If there was a song targeting one single private citizen for testifying before congress, I'd voice my disagreement with that as well.

The government makes you pay someone to then purchase birth control? That is such a racket. You must really want to fight big government.

How did humans survive millions of years without gastric bypass, or Cesarean sections?

well in the former case, they weren't food sluts like Limbaugh, and they exercised relatively frequently, and in the latter case, more women died than can be counted, and more pain was inflicted than anyone could ever know.

woah, we have modern technology now and we should use it? whodathunk it.

The mysogony in rap is FAR MORE WIDESPREAD AND DEPRAVED than Rush's little faux pas. You could even say it is insitutionalized. Watch a rap video and you'll see all the hints you need of it. I'd suggest you focus your energies there as the problem is wider and deeper.

Consistent debating method in this topic---"hey, you do this right, stereotype X---so you must be stereotype Y!"

it's like fighting with someone who just straight out imagines scarecrows. Oh you're a democrat, you must love rap?

The day they meet women's right advocates, vegans, and pure feminists, is the day their argument ceases to exist. For some reason, it all has to do with personal ad hominem associations to discount perfectly sensible logic.

Anyways, I do listen to rap---Lupe Fiasco, Kid Cudi and Tupac.

    misogyny at its' best.

Even if I had TERRIBLE musical taste and just listened to Lil Wayne and Flo Rida 24/7, I don't think they would nearly have the same effect on politics. Yeah, let's see what Lil Wayne has to think about the elections. why not.

Not only that, but conservatives already have an irrational hatred of rappers, and can't seem to differentiate them for their lives, so to them I suppose rap is this all-encompassing terrible thing that represents sexism, violence, racism---etc., in other words, they clearly don't listen to modern hip hop.

I mean, the protests at, of all MCs, Talib Kweli visiting the White House...seriously?
