Plus: 1) You need to give them Patterson to get Holiday to LA, I'm guessing 2) Hawes is better than Patterson
- Trade Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill, & Jonny Flynn to the Golden State Warriors for Monta Ellis & Kwame Brown. - Trade Luis Scola & Hasheem Thabeet to the LA Lakers for Pau Gasol, trade Terrence Williams, Chase Budinger, & Marcus Morris to the Orlando Magic. Orlando Magic trade Dwight Howard to the LA Lakers for Dwight Howard. 1) Kyle Lowry / Goran Dragic 2) Monta Ellis / Courtney Lee 3) Chandler Parsons / Courtney Lee 4) Pau Gasol / Patrick Patterson 5) Samuel Dalembert / Patrick Patterson
Orlando trades Howard to LA for T-Will, Budinger, and Morris? That's a joke right? And again, I don't think Monta Ellis is a guy I would want playing next to Kyle Lowry. Ellis is the kind of guy who needs roleplayers at the 1 and 3 whose job is to play defense and shoot open threes. Lowry is wasted if he never has the ball in his hands.
I agree, I was talking about for the 2nd group (or at least some of it) Ideally we could just get Kamen for some (Hill, Twill, Bud) along with Gasol in the deal Brussard reported. Lowry/Flynn Lee/??? Parsons/Morris Pau/Pat Kamen/Daly We lose depth but that's a GOOD team
Houston gets Pekovich gasol Los Angeles gets Dragic Beasley scola Minnesota gets Martin Draft picks here and there. Is this possible?
First trade: Rockets trade: Martin, Dragic and Thabeet Rockets receive: R. Allen, J. O'Neal and future 2nd round draft pick Why? Allen provides much needed experience and leadership, he could become our 6th man of the bench. O'Neal is a nice back-up C/PF. Celtics trade: R. Allen, J. O'Neal and future 2nd round draft pick Celtics receive: Martin, Dragic and Thabeet Why? Martin becomes their starting SG for several years and they can stay contender this season. Dragic can be their starting PG, in case the Celtics trade Rondo. If they keep Rondo, the have the best back-up PG in the league. Thabeet is just an expiring contract and perhaps he could be a good rotation player in a Celtics uniform ... http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=85ktr7z Second trade: Rockets trade: Lowry, Scola, Bud, Morris, NY 1st round draft pick 2012, T'Wolves 2nd round draft pick 2012 Rockets receive: Deron Williams Why? It's a no-brainer ... Nets trade: Deron Williams Nets receive: Lowry, Scola, Bud, Morris, NY 1st round draft pick 2012, T'Wolves 2nd round draft pick 2012 Why? They're getting an All-Star caliber PG in return: Lowry. They always liked Scola. Bud is a nice back-up SF/SG and Morris is a nice talent/prospect. The both draft picks seal the deal ... perhaps we can throw in some extra picks and/or cash. http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6pxpca4 Rockets line-up PG: DWill/Flynn SG: Lee/Allen SF: Parsons/T-Will PF: Hill/PPat C: Dalembert/O'Neal/Greg Smith We have many expiring contracts: Flynn, Ray Allen, T-Will, Jordan Hill and Jermaine O'Neal ... so, if D12 wants to play with DWill we might have a good chance to sign them both! Starting five next season: PG: DWill SG: Lee SF: Parsons PF: PPat C: D12 6th man: Ray Allen (veteran minimum)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=824ns7a Lakers: Luis Scola, M.beasley, luke Ridnour Min:Kevin Martin, C-Bud Houston: Pau, W.Johnson, A.Randolph
The Big Rebuild: PHI also receives the right to swap their 1st round pick with our NY pick Buy out Brand's godawful contract in the offseason. You don't get minutes on this squad unless you have future all-star potential. If you do have all-star potential, you get lots of minutes. Why Minny does it: To get Martin + Budinger and shore up their worst weaknesses (perimeter shooting/slashing play), and get out of Milicic's contract Why Philly does it: Better big men, Lee fits better with their squad, gets them out of Brand's bad contract (make no mistake, it's ugly), move up in draft Why NJ does it: Injured Lopez isn't going to get them Howard, but a combination of Rockets assets + their draft pick + Marshon Brooks just might. Why we do it: To rebuild around a bunch of players who have all-star potential. Next season's roster: Lowry/Llull Turner/Llull Derrick Williams/Morris Motiejunas/Morris Brook Lopez/1st-round picked center
IDK about you guys but I would love to take Josh Smith off the Hawks hands and get him to a team that could build around him. I would be willing to do this trade if it were on the table. Houston receives: Josh Smith SF/PF Kirk Hinrich PG/SG Jeff Teague PG Atlanta receives: Kyle Lowry PG Luis Scola PF Hasheem Thabeet C http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6055977 But I don't think Atlanta is dumb enough to even listen to this trade scenario.
IMO, this would be a very, very nice trade. I just doubt the Lakers and Clippers would let it happen.
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2012/03/03/SP091NFR84.DTL Not sure why they would want him, given that they already have David Lee. But with that said I would trade him for Biedrins...

The Hawks are actually winning a few more games since Joe went down and with Josh as the main cog in the offense. Just take a look at the past 5 games log for him.... speaks for itself: http://www.nba.com/playerfile/josh_smith/game_by_game_stats.html
