I appreciate your posting the link, not only because of my grave concerns regarding Barack Obama's introducing and bestowing kind words on such a radical academic syndicator as Professor Bell; no, no. I am especially grateful for the link because it led me to the comments section where I learned that Fox News, once a beacon of truth and integrity, has drifted left in its institutional views, so much so that it can no longer be trusted by us clear-eyed truth-seekers. I am relieved to have been alerted to this unhappy development.

I've seen it before on this board where conservatives will, I don't want to say defend, but sort put into context the actions of old white guys if they act a little prejudiced or racist. "They're from a different era," kind of sums it up. That kind of understanding doesn't seem to apply to people like Bell though. He was born into a segregated America, I think that may have shaped his outlook.

 

his accused "craziness" has to do with him writing a somewhat satiric book.

From the video I've seen, Obama was already a damn good speaker even back then.
