if you watch people play on Parsons, they give him a lot of space, and working on his shot is something that will have to be done in the offseason. If he is successful, I feel like he can be a real good offensive threat along with a top-notch defensive wing. He is a rookie yet he is still impressive in finishing at the rim and moving his feet.

I feel he deserves to be among better talents....
I can't really fault Morey because he actually tried to move pieces of incomplete players, Scola and Martin for Gasol.... and I don't even think Morey thought Gasol was the perfect player but he was an upgrade above any Scola and Martin in terms of a complete player.
So he has to continue to upgrade....it takes time.

I believe the rockets can still make the playoffs with current roster, yeah tough losses but I think there is pressure on them more with the deadline approaching and them all knowing they are potential trade chips...I would like to see a trade to get kaman personally...I also think if we can land a better closer we should go for it..i don't want to see the rockets just give up on the season, waited too long to be in playoffs..

I agree, and we even have a very capable replacement in Lee. Gasol has many flaws though, but he would be a significant upgrade.

Kaman would be a pretty good idea for two reasons: 1 expiring contract, and 2 he can score down low unlike dalembert. that would be very beneficial to the Rockets and I am kinda rooting for it to happen.

Wearing my GM hat and trying to save this season from disaster (by which i mean another valueless 14th pick), I hope that Utah would bite on Martin + Budinger for Jefferson, maybe throw in a future 1st. That kind of deal actually benefits both teams or is at least a draw. Utah's biggest problem is wing scoring, and this sort of move helps alleviate that problem. From their perspective, this kind of move also frees up playing time for Favors + Kanter. Jefferson can get his own shot from the block or on the elbow, blocks more shots than Scola, and is an impressive passer for a big man.

Scola's also got to go, be it by trade (ideal) or amnesty (if necessary). I'd try to consult our friends in Sacto and see if they'd bite on Scola-for-Thompson; the Kings have the cap space to absorb his contract, and Thompson is a bit useless on their roster given that he plays behind Cousins, who receives the lion's share of the minutes at the C spot. Scola gives them midrange scoring their team lacks now, and gives them a low post option when Cousins isn't being productive. Thompson gives us a backup center that isn't old, and that isn't due a lot of money. The biggest obstacle to SAC biting is the money - Scola's got a big contract, but the last year is only partially guaranteed.

From there, our next best move would be trading any combination of the 09'ers for another 3-point threat.

he has been considered soft... his defense is not great... he flops... he is getting old... he has never been the main option for a successful team... etc.

Try land Gasol and Ellis. Get Hayes back. Offer sheet to Wilson Chandler.
