Im not sure how much College Hoops you watch but there is no way I take Drummond over "anyone." Obviously Anthony Davis is head and shoulders above Drummond at this point. There isnt even a comparison.

You might also see his stock lower alot more if he has a poor showing in the Big East tournament. UConn has been a bit of a dissapointment this year to say the least, and alot of the dissapointment rests on Andre Drummond who has been been one of the better bigs in the Big East but has left alot of the table to be desired.

I wouldnt be shocked if somehow John Henson, Thomas Robinson, and Jared Sullinger end up getting picked before Drummond. Would I be surprised... Yes. Would I be shocked.... No. Those bigs are much better players right now. Right now being the key word. I see alot of Emeka Okafur in Drummond.

Thats not a bad thing, but I see a little Kevin Love/Charles Barkley in Sullinger, and something real special out of Thomas Robinson. No knock on Drummond, but some NBA teams might prefer to take someone that they know more about who he is right away rather than just pick based on size and athleticism.

The thing about Davis too is all the sudden two weeks ago he just started going crazy on the offensive end like he's had all this offensive skill, but has been holding back and "settling" for alley-oops and put backs.

I thought Davis was a bit of a tweener coming into the NBA and was going to need some time to bulk up if he was going to play the post in the NBA, but the more I see out of him, the more I see him being able to play the 4 spot right out of college and completely change a franchises fortunes.

I agree. I think it was an impatiant move cause they didn't want to wait for him. Everybody knew it was a mistake as soon as Thompson name was called.

If cavs had chosen Val and then told Andy V to take the season off to get healthy, then I believe they would have a top 5 pick this year and become the new OKC of the east.

Yeah, TT might become a solid starter but he doesn't have franchise player potential like Valaciunas

There's still a chance they get a top 5 pick this year.

Valanciunas was disappointing today against Puerto Rico, fouled out with 0 points. I think he'll be good eventually but his rookie season may start out the same way as Yao Ming's.

    Age is a big factor.

Yeah, but Yao had an offensive weaponry that Valanciunas could only wish of having. I see Valanciunas having an overall quite rookie year (8pts/ 9reb/ 1.5 blks), he's body still needs developing and given that his strength's lie on defense, he still need's to adjust to NBA level athletes attacking the rim.

Would be nice but been playing like trash at the FIBA games, even struggling against the likes of Nigeria.
