The Rockets end up missing the playoffs falling to the 9th or 10th seed, but Minnesota is the team that overtakes us for the last playoff spot after owning us this year? I guess I don't need to mention the coach right? Of course I am praying that this doesn't happen! I didn't see any question like this on the forum, if I missed it...feel free to lock.
Don't we then get to keep out first round pick instead flipping it to NJ of we made the playoffs? I'd be OK with that.
That is exactly what is going to happen. Without a trade we are doomed to the 13th or 14th lottery selection. We either need to get a lot better or a lot worse.
Clippers own Minnesota's first round pick and it's unprotected thanks to Kahn. There's a silver-lining to Minny making the playoffs but I don't think they will. IMO Portland and Utah are more of a threat.
Minny isn't making the playoffs but no, I wouldn't be upset since I don't want to pay to watch our team become first round fodder.

Not saying I'd rather but if this team is largely the same after the trade deadline my confidence would be completely gone. We need an go to scorer.
i'd like to make the playoffs but i know we wont win big, so i will not be upset if we miss it, and have the 14th and 15th pick in the draft would wipe my tears ... but IF we make a trade for Gasol or an equally "huge" trade, i'll be very disappointed if we fail to reach the posteason
Well, don't disagree with you there. I was putting on the last touches to a presentation when the wife asked how we could lose being up by 10 with just minutes to go. I said, "no closer" and went back to work. While I would say "***** happens" as a response for this game, but that supposes some non-***** was happening before the actual ***** happened. Indifferent. If these Rockets players are still here two weeks from now, they'll still be gone come summer. So, what do I care if they make the playoffs or not? I would almost prefer to see the Twolves in the playoffs. Almost. It'd still be fun to watch the Rockets in the first round. I might feel completely different come trade deadline, but you can ask me again then.

Exactly. The Rockets don't have Kevin Love or Ricky Rubio. Hell, we don't have a big man like Pekovic either. If Minnesota makes the playoffs it'll be because of good coaching AND a talented roster.
