Both want the ball on hands, one of them has to go! Guess who will go? Lin is Knicks' and the whole league's cash machine, so Melo won't be a Knick soon!!!

I said something similar to this before Melo came back.

D'Antoni has to go. The dude can't push the right buttons. Can't make adjustments for shet. Doesn't do anything during a game. He may be good at designing offenses, but he's a terrible coach. Should be an offensive coordinator.

I would also start Lin, Shumpert, Fields, Jeffries, and Chandler and have Baron, JR Smith, Novak, Melo, and Amare come off the bench. Great chemistry on the starting lineup, offensive firepower on the bench.

Melo + Chandler for Dwight + Ryan Anderson (Knicks may also have to take back an ugly contract like Hedo's)

Easy answer for both teams. Don't want to see it happen, and likely won't because it makes too much sense for both teams.

Giving up Dwight for Melo + Chandler (and their giant contracts) is like trading your Lamborghini for a Ford Mustang and a Honda Civic. And it definitely doesn't make Orlando contenders for anything but 8th seed in the East at best.

If I were Orlando, I would look to either get a young star on the rise who has superstar potential (none of which are available from teams on Dwight's list, or for a rental of Dwight) or would look to spread out my risk across 3, 4, even 5 young assets/picks with legitimate upside.

The latter is hopefully where the Rockets come in.

In other news...Westbrook and his SF both want the ball in their hands and have the best record in the West.

If you look at Lin's last 5 games he has come back down to earth. Only shooting 36% from the field and still turning the ball over 4 times a game. By the end of the season I think Lin will be right around 15-17 ppg.......which is still great but not nearly the kind of numbers we saw that first 10 games.

I always felt if you could do a footballl stylign coach, I would do

    Offense: D'Antoni or Rick Adelman
    Defense: Van Gundy or Thibideou
Motivation/mental: Doc Rivers or Pat Riley

That will never happen in the nba, at least with the big names, but would be gret to see a team(team usa,) with this

Big difference between Westbrook + Durant and Lin + Melo.

Like 3, 4, or 5, go karts instead of a Honda Civic and Ford Focus.

I don't exactly disagree, but this still feels like a knee jerk.

They should put aside their differences and learn to accept each others' religions.

BTW, Amare must be happy because he looks like dog **** yet people blame Melo for the loses.

As much as I think Melo is a team-killer, it'd be ridiculous to trade him to make room for Lin. Still, trading him for Howard would make sense, and I don't expect Orlando to get a better offer than that.

The problem is not any one individual but as a team. I've been watching Knicks games Linsanity took off and after watching all of these games, I've come to the conclusion that the Knicks are just a group of inexperienced players who do not have mental toughness. They are athletic and can play the game but lack any sort of toughness or grit.

    1. Carmelo is not an elite player on the level of Lebron, Wade, and Kobe. The guy is mentally weak and his game is sort of on the level of Tracy McGrady in his last season with Houston. In other words, he can just disappear and make zero impact on the court. What's worse, he doesn't have T-Mac's passing skills or defense.

    2. Amare - dude is playing soft and has zero defense. He gets his shot blocked about once or twice every game. Can't finish after contact. Only makes wide open dunks. Even worse, his mid-range jumper is not very reliable

    3. Lin - Lin is doing his best under the circumstance. Teams are playing him tough and hardly giving him any space to operate.

    4. Chandler - I like this guy. I like this guy a lot. If the rest of the team has his toughness, then Knicks would be elite level

    5. Novak - doing his job. Shooting and making 3s.

    6. JR Smith - He needs to figure things out quick. He's not contributing at all. Just running around erratically and making crazy fouls

    7. Davis - stop jacking up 3s!!

    8. Fields - more consistency

    9. Shumpert - I like his intensity. Again, play well.

    10. Humphries - I like his drive and emotion. Lays it out on the court

Overall, the biggest weakness lies in the Amare/Carmelo. When these two are not making shots and playing zero defense, it makes it hard for the others to operate. Especially Lin. Teams wil double on Lin every time he has the ball knowing Amare/Melo can't break them down.
