You do realize that a 9th seed in the east would net us a fairly high draft pick no?

Fairly high? Sure if you consider middle-of-the-pack high...

WTF?? If the draft happened today, the 9th seed in the east would be picking 9th in the draft. What is your definition of fairly high? That seems pretty accurate to me:confused:

We certainly don't want the Knicks pick to be that high. :p

No. That's really high. Really? How can the use of the word "fairly" high encompass the #1 pick. In any case picks 1-5 are protected.

I digress.... I think were getting a little off topic here. We should be talking about all of the Linsane things going on right now....

It won't be, Jeremy Lin played them out of their bottom feeding. They'll just be hanging around mediocrity and the cusp of playoffdom.

Entropy as a kid: Dad, I got first place at the tournament!
Entropy's Dad: Oh yeah? I guess that's fairly good.

wait.....if draft happens today, Knicks are in playoffs..that means they are not in Lottery, which means they'll get the 16th pick because they have the worst record of any lottery team, no?

and I really don't think the Knicks will miss the playoffs..they will just find some way to win against the really bad teams and sneak in playoff with .500 record.

But I do agree 9th is fairly high, so is 8th, or 7th, or 10th, 11th..

I am aware of that. I was just responding to Entropy's hypothetical idea that we end up with 9th seed for both conferences. However, the worst record of teams making the playoffs would warrant the 15th pick.

Yeah I was wondering where the hell you were pulling the 9th pick number from.
Despite the bad stretch by Houston I'm pretty sure they'll fight for playoff positioning and in the end we'll just end up with two crappy picks once again.

Thank you McFail, Les, and Morey. Another year of mediocrity. We can't do anything about the Knicks pick but we sure can do something about ours.

Its too late for our pick to have any real value. We need to get rid of it now, so that we don't owe it to New Jersey next year. That would shackle Morey from using future picks in a deal and hurt our capspace in the immediate future. It is imperative we make the playoffs this year. :(
