Texans = team on the cusp of a superbowl

    Redskins = crap

Manning is 36 and little bro just won another ring....for equal money where would you go?

Redskins offense relies on roll outs, play action passes, etc...

I dont remember the last time Ive seen Manning do a roll out. Schaub would fit the Redskins offense, give them a player they are familiar with, and would cost them less money.

for your purposes: the redskins don't get to sign manning just because they want him. manning has to agree to sign there too. this isn't waivers.

    hope that helps.

part of free agency is that the team has to want the player. that part remains to be seen too.

Manning is way too mature to want to play for the city of Miami. He will go to Kansas City. Count it.

    that's a bold prediction that i haven't heard.

i'll stick with jets or 9ers, and keep holding out hope that mcnair has some sense.

If the texans sign manning, this means mario, myers and brisiel would be gone.
so we would have to draft an OL, and I dont know how Manning is going to throw if two key elements of the O-Line would be gone.
Breaking up one of the best O-Lines is not a good choice.

I think manning will want a huge contract, and the texans cant pay him.
Also I dont think he is going to play like he did in previous years.

How about we just wait and see how much he's demanding? He's 36. I seriously doubt that he wants to go to Washington, Kansas City or Miami and play for teams that have a small chance of making the Super Bowl, nonetheless the playoffs. If he is truly wants to come to the Texans, and will come at a huge discount then why not? Cut leinart and keep Schaub. Let them two battle it out in training camp and then make a decision on who will start at the beginning of the season.

Some upsides of signing Peyton: National attention, proven winner, possibility of bringing Reggie Wayne with him.

    Concerns: Health, age, price?

I think it all depends on his price.

Well Manning is defintely not coming to Houston...count it.

In order of likelihood: Miami, KC, NYJ, DEN

Houston is like 25th on that list.

Please just don't let him go to the Jets. He might actually make them good.

I hope he doesn't go to Miami. That city is garbage. The team doesn't even have fans much like most of their sports in that city... it's full of bandwagon fans who are really fans of other teams. I hope he goes somewhere where they'll actually support him.

When you speculate on a team for Peyton, you should propose what salary you think he's taking and how the team can pay for it. There are teams with plenty of cap room, but the Texans ain't one of them.
