I wouldn't say we aren't giving away anything... but I would say there is no the Magic or Bulls even consider this. Way too little for Howard (even with the draft picks). And while I'm sure the Bulls would love to get rid of Boozer's contract, they would just be replacing it with another (Lee's game is ridiculously similar to Boozer's). Not to mention it goes against Chicago's identity as a defensive squad to acquire two AWFUL defenders. Talent-wise it is good for everyone except Orlando. They could get much better offers for Howard. Also... I would personally hate to watch that Rockets team you just assembled.
4 Team Trade: HOU, NYK, MIN, BOS HOU: Trade - Lowry, Scola, Martin, Recieve - Melo, Rondo NYK: Trade - Melo, Shumpert Recieve - Pierce, Scola, Wes Johnson MIN: Trade - Beasley, Wes Johnson Recieve - Martin BOS: Trade - Rondo, Pierce Recieve - Lowry, Beasley, Shumpert Thoughts?
Mostly, I don't see New York doing that trade. I can see Boston taking the deal--Lowry has better surplus value over contract than Rondo and would be easier to build around. Pierce is a borderline bad contract now and I don't think they'd mind getting out from under it and getting Beasley and Shumpert in the deal to gamble upon. New York, though--I don't see them giving up Melo just to take on Pierce's and Scola's contracts, which are both at that same borderline where they could look real ugly in a couple years. Bad deal for them.
Hi all, this will be my first post. I've been reading the forum for a while, and usually don't feel the need to share crazy trade ideas, but i just really like this one. 2 trades. 1st Trade is 3 Team: HOU, LAL, BOS HOU gets: Gasol BOS gets: Dragic, Dalembert, Budinger LAL get: Rondo, Scola 2nd Trade: HOU, CHI HOU gets: Asik CHI gets: Lee, Smith Post-deadline Depth Chart: Lowry/Flynn Martin/Williams Parsons/Morris Gasol/Patterson Asik/Hill/Thabeet I think this is feasible, sets up a possible run this year and leaves us with all that cap space for this summer and some flexiblity for S&T possibilities. This team isn't incredibly deep, but having room for Llull and Motiejunas to come in next year and get opportunities should also be taken in to consideration at the deadline.
Uhh No **** a deal like what you suggested doesn't get done. Did you not see what the salaries/cap look like? Also, I like how you failed to mention the garbage (Flynn, Morris, Hill) you originally mentioned. Even if the salaries matched up do You really think our "assets" of Lowry, Martin, Scola and Dalembert are going to net us Dwight Howard, Carlos Boozer and Monta Ellis? Seriously?
Whatever trade we do its going to improve the team I cant stand watching this team I still watch every game but it just hurts
Check again... Pekovic has been beasting ever since he became a starter. He has 21.1 PER (higher than Pau Gasol or Kyle Lowry) on the season.
Shows you know absolutely nothing. Pekovic has a very good chance at winning MIP. He has been very good this year.
Uhh... I dont think this really helps the Rockets at all. Jordan is super athletic, but there is a reason he is rarely in the game in the 4th quarter and his stats are nearly identical to Dalemberts.... He has yet to really improve offensively beyond catching alley-oops and play smart. He's not a transformative player for the Rockets. I know that Martin is sort of an afterthought already here in Houston and most fans have fallen out of love with him quick, but he is still a great scorer in this league despite having the worse year of his career thus far. I think you could do better than this in the summer at the latest even if you have to hang on to him till draft day I think patience would be in order.
Lowry for pau gasol Martin and scola for deron williams and scrub.. William lee parson gasol dalembert
As much as I hate a trade with the Jazz here it goes: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7s4dd5s I chose to get Morris off the books and give him to the Lakers to have more money to sign Williams in the off-season and bring back Lee, Parsons, Budinger, Dally, and T-Will who are all question marks at this point. The Lakers might want Budinger instead of Morris...not sure if we should gamble so much on Williams signing with us in the off-season. Big Al / Dally Favors / Patterson Parsons / Budinger Martin / Lee Dragic / Williams / Flynn We would finally be set in the middle. 2013 guaranteed contracts: Jefferson = $15 million Favors + Patterson = $6.849 million Martin = $12.93 million Williams ~$15 million Alternate trade: Switch Lowry with Dragic, and Favors with Kanter. LA sends Barnes to Utah...still needs work, but I don't think Utah would invest 3 key players for Gasol like we were. I'm guessing we would have to send Martin to Utah if we wanted to keep Lowry, but I'm sure they would want more.
