Once Dale walked into the field I knew it was game over for him. I don't know why Carl didn't tell them he saw a walker in the woods. Trying to be a tough kid which is what they need but he wimped and ran off crying. I wish he would've gotten scratched after that. I honestly don't think killing the kid is the right thing to do. Daryl is a little insane beating the hell out of Randall. Totally insane since he spent all that time look for Sophia for her to be in the barn the whole time. Yeah he was with bad people but he didn't do anything. Why save him to kill him off? Leaving him to the walkers would be the same thing but they wont be the only killing him immediately. Randall didn't do anything. I don't think he's a threat. They should just keep him there and put him to work since they are worried about him telling people where the farm is. I think Maggie will get him spared in the next episode convince them to let him stay.
Here is a synopsis for every episode left this season. I waited to post this to confirm that it was legit. This was revealed before "18 Miles Out", the episode last week (25th). The first two synopses in this spoiler revealed that episode, plus the one last night first, and they've been 100% correct. I must emphasize, this is some BIG TIME MAJOR LEAGUE SPOILAGE, if you haven't read this already. So, click at your own risk. Spoiler [2.10 '18 Miles Out' Description]: "Episode starts with Rick, Shane and Randall (the kid captured last episode) running away from walkers in an abandoned schoolyard. After some chasing around, cue theme music. By the way, we don't see Daryl, T-Dog, Dale, Hershel, Patricia, Glenn, Jimmy, Carol or Carl AT ALL in the entire episode. Not even kidding. Flashback to earlier that day; Rick and Shane drive a bound and gagged Randall away from the farm (18 miles to be exact) to let him loose. Rick steps outside with Shane to have a talk about Lori. Shane spills the truth about shooting Otis to save Carl, and tells Rick that he wouldn't do the same thing (as seen in another promo vid "You can't just be the good guy and expect to live") Rick says he isn't a good guy anymore and that he'll now do whatever he can to protect his family, including protecting them from Shane. He shares how he wanted to beat in Shane's teeth when he found out about the affair. He also tells Shane that if they're going to continue speaking from then on, that Shane needs to accept everything that Rick just told him. They get back in the car and drive Randall to the nearby schoolyard. They get out of the car and find a dead policeman chasing after Rick (they're next to the fence). Shane is about to shoot the walker but Rick deals with it himself. Meanwhile at the farm, Maggie is in the kitchen talking with Lori about Glenn. Maggie goes in to the other room to check on Beth. Beth is still lying in bed, now awake, and becomes suicidal. She unsuccessfully tries to convince Maggie to kill themselves together. Andrea and Lori have a b****fight when Andrea says that Beth should be allowed to choose whether she wants to kill herself or not. Eventually Beth cuts her wrists but flakes out at the last moment, so the cut isn't deep. Beth lives, and Andrea is banned from the house for leaving Beth alone and allowing her to attempt suicide. Rick and Shane walk past the fence, carry Randall and leave him there, and walk away, but Randall keeps asking them for mercy and reveals that he and Maggie went to the same school. They realize that Randall knows the location of the farm and Shane attempts to shoot the kid. Rick intervenes, and shoves Shane into a police car. Shane's on the ground, the gun knocked out of his hand and he sits there like a little kid. He stands up and shares his feelings about Rick. Rick gets pissed, they argue and beat the crap out of each other. Shane almost kills Rick at one point. They accidentally release walkers from the school and Shane hides in a school bus. Rick leaves him there and Shane calls out to Rick. Rick contemplates and decides to return at the last moment. Randall's bounds are cut and he and Rick rescue Shane and drive back to the farm, with Randall bound again. Rick says they will likely still have to kill the kid. He also tells Shane to stop being a douche (regarding Shane's attempt to kill him earlier). End episode." [2.11 'Judge, Jury, Executioner' (brief) Description]: "Synopsis: After the fight between Rick and Shane in Episode 10, they finally make peace and Rick sides with Shane causing Dale to worry that the group is losing its humanity; Carl's actions have unintended consequences that gets Dale killed. As Dale is being eaten alive, the walker rips open his stomach and pulls out his guts before they kill it so Dale's insides are hanging out. (He is in the mid-season trailer where Shane is smashing a guy's head in with a shovel. The figure with the ripped open shirt on the ground - that's Dale. Also, notice how they don't put Dale in that trailer? Not once? Well, he doesn't make an appearance in Episode 10, and they probably don't want to give away anything from Episode 11.) The poor guy is in sooo much misery and pain that he asks to be put down. Daryl is pointing a gun at Dale's blood covered face, and before he pulls the trigger he says "Sorry brother"." [2.12 'Better Angels' Description]: "Lori starts a dramatic war in Episode 2.09 where she tries to convince Rick to kill Shane. Rick thinks about it but shrugs it off. After Lori sees that Rick is still not acting, she has a talk with Shane and puts into his head that if Rick wasn't around they would still be together. This makes Shane change AGAIN, (he had finally made peace and Lori ****s him up again). Lori warns Rick that Shane will probably attempt to kill him, Rick denies it and says they've made peace. Anyway Shane decides to kill Rick and lures him into the forest chasing after Randall. Of course Rick isn't stupid he realizes nothing is adding up and tries to give Shane a chance to abandon his plans. Believe it or not Rick loves Shane like a brother, anyway he finally calls Shane on it and says he knows what he's trying to do. So it starts with Rick walking to Shane, they're kinda on plain land I guess outside the barn (I mean far from it, like just outside a forest, and it's moonlight). Rick says something like "so this is where you planned to do it". Shane says something I can't quite make out, I think he was acting oblivious and playing stupid because Rick says something like "you've got the balls to call this what it is....murder" so I can assume that Shane was playing dumb. Rick circles Shane talking about how you think if you go to the barn alone they'll believe everything you say and his ****ing story you cooked up (not exact quote, cept the ****ing part) and Shane tells him to hush up and how he saw "those guys" (the Philly boys) were going to shoot Rick so he followed them there (where the two currently are). Rick doesn't buy a word that Shane says. Shane finally admits "it ain't goin to be easy, but Lori and Carl will get over you" and you can tell by the look on Rick's face that he's starting to lose his patience. Shane adds "they done it before, they just gon have to" and pulls out his gun to aim at Rick's face. Rick asks why ? Why now? He then says "I thought we tried to work this out". Shane laughs and says "we tried to kill each other!" with his gun still on Rick. Shane continues to mock by saying "ya think we're just gonna forget about it and run into the sunset together?" Rick asks him "are you gonna kill me in cold blood? Screw my wife? Have my children... my children! Call yu daddy? Is that what you want?" He says something else that I couldn't make out, and Shane replies something like asking him what does he know what to live for or something? I'm sorry I couldn't hear it though I could be wrong. Shane talks about how Rick has no idea what he had to, and still has to live with. Shane dares Rick to raise his gun, but Rick refuses. Shane taunts him by saying "what happened Rick, I thought you said you weren't the good guy anymore?" He continues to mock, saying that he's a better father than Rick and that he's better for Lori than Rick because he's a better man than Rick and he'll actually fight for Lori (the stuff that Rick basically told him in '18 Miles Out' Shane is twisting his words against him, and this pisses off Rick.) Shane says that Rick came back and destroyed everything. Pause. He continues by saying Rick has a broken wife and a weak boy. He also adds that Rick doesn't even know how to fix it, he then pushes his gun closer to Rick and tells him to raise his gun. Rick asks something like you gonna shoot an unarmed man? Pause. Rick slowly goes for his gun and then pulls it out. The two now hve their guns trained on each other. Rick tries to negotiate saying "there's a way back from this, nothing happened here, we gonna lay down our guns and walk back to the farm." Shane gets even more threatening and insulting and Rick then draws his knife (the one you see him use in '18 Miles Out'), finally when Shane doesn't expect it, Rick lunges his knife into Shane's chest. Even worse HERE'S A BIG SPOILER. SHANE COMES BACK TO LIFE AS A ZOMBIE! - Carl shoots him, the whole thing is pretty ****ed up but I won't give too much away . All this causes Rick to slowly change into a 'Shane' if you will. Believe me the show is going somewhere so crazy that Shane's death will not even be a burden, he served his purpose by helping Rick's character transform." [Spoiler for 2.13 'Besides the Dying Fire'] "I can tell you right now that Daryl and Carol won't hook up in this season, however I will leave a glimmer of hope for the people who want to see them together; In the season finale Carol is left alone and being chased by walkers (everyone had left and she was basically walker bait.) But WAIT, what's this?! The sound of a roaring Harley! Daryl speeds through and snatches her up. Go Daryl. Michonne makes an appearance with her zombie slaves. I cannot release the actor's info just yet. Merle does NOT make an appearance, neither does the Governor."
I agree with evelovesrox. I wanted them to keep the kid Randall. he earned his stripes when he helped fight off the herd at the municipal plant. I also agreed with Dale- he seemed like an asset. I dont know why everyone hated Dale so much- the voice of reason in a decaying world. the Carl on the other hand- what an idiot
His friends seemed like a bad bunch... his crew forced Rick to up the stakes. If they have 30 guys on their side looking for supplies and are ready to shoot (and rape), guys that have already shot at you, why risk having that guy report back to his camp?
I would have betted on him never finding his crew in a world with no communication etc. I would have betted on a walker tearing through his flesh. why would he tell the story of the rape if he were truly involved in such behavior. what good would it do to disclose that type of information. I guess what I am saying is- I believed him. he was harmless. he owed them one for saving his life, he would have been true to that. well he's still alive so they could keep him yet.
You seem to operate in the same delusional world Dale was in. Dale had a line where he said something like "We are going to kill him for a crime he might not even commit?" Um...no. The kid was a sniper on the roof for a gang of pirates who shot at your group. By his own admission, the group was more than just looking to survive in this world, they raped two teenage girls in front of their father as torture and left them alive to get killed by walkers down the line. He was present. He can say he didn't participate, but by Dale's own words "Not speaking up is the same as [raping them] yourself." There is absolutely no way that kid would risk being found by that gang as a traitor if they ever found this group. Of course he would go back to them. He fears them and they are much better armed and apparently more tightly controlled than this rag tag group of survivors. You kill him for the crimes he has already committed as well as the danger his life presents to you and your people going forward.
yet they saved him from being ripped apart by walkers. he was shooting at random strangers shooting at him and his group. they saved his life and he could have stayed with them instead of being alone in the world. how would he find his group, again? the rag tags would have left the farm by then, hypothetically, no? god I hope so. I appreciate your comments on this discussion but lets not allow a tv show to get snarky now. its good debate that I'm sure is being discussed in households and message boards across the land. people sure are touchy about this show.
I think his group is held up somewhere with supplies. He alluded to that I thought. And he knows the area.
At the time they didn't know he knew the farm and knew Maggie (at least in passing.)That information changes everything. That's a pretty big rationalization. He was positioned on a rooftop as a sniper to shoot at random strangers as part of a raiding party that he has now admittedly witnessed rape young girls. Until his leg got better and then he could have gone back to the people he was running with,. He alluded to them being somewhere with supplies and weapons. And he knew the area because he was from the area and undoubtedly knows where the farm is. If they did, they would have just traded a good, safe location with running water and natural protection from walkers for the life of a thug.
If the very last scene of this season shows every character dead except Daryl who's getting on his bike to ride off into the sunset, I am perfectly OK with that. PS, I hope Daryl doesn't end up needing the gun that the brat stole from his bike.
I wouldn't mind seeing a similar situation with everyone dead except Carl who jumps on his tricycle and says "haters gonna hate" as he rides into the sunset.
Ok so...how did that zombie get across the river to the farm if he got stuck once already in the mud? And I totally think Shane sets the group up in the next episode too. He's not the type of guy to be blindsided by some little runt.
And when he gets into town meets his 1 handed brother and shots a zombie in the head with his cross bow that tries to sneak up behind him. I really hope they don't do the whole half a season looking for someone dramatize thing next season. I was getting really impatient with this show. The last 2 episodes we good though. Hope it ends well.
yea same here. He's the only genuine one out of the group. Glad they finally killed that old guy off. Next is carl and his mom hopefully.
I'd say the worst episode of Breaking Bad is still head and shoulders above the best episode of The Walking Dead.
