They don't show the foul in that recap unless I missed it...

I was actually going to make a thread right after the game..it was so blatantly obvious who the refs were favoring at the end. Dirk hit clutch shot after clutch shot and the Thunder were bricking but the Mavs got called on like 5 consecutive loose ball fouls/touch fouls after each missed shot, like clockwork the whistle blew. I was shaking my head but I didn't want to make a b****-y thread (this is a b****-y post). Thunder at home, on NBATV, hrmm..

You missed it. It was Mahinmi's foul on Ibaka when it was 91-90 Mavs. Not sure why Carlisle is so upset as refs miss those kinds of fouls all the time and the Mavs benefit quite a bit on phantom fouls called on people guarding Dirk.

I was surprised at OKC's lack of urgency and focus the entire game. The fact Dallas beat them in the WCF's and they were coming off a sluggish loss at Atlanta had me thinking OKC would play one of their best games. Not so. They were lucking to win. It was different watching them clamp down on the Mavs the last 2 minutes instead of the other way around.

OKC is going through a mini-slump. Their recent wins at Philly and Orlando were similar to this one in that they went through the motions and didn't start playing well until about 5 mins left. They have 9 of their next 11 games at home and I predict they will lose at least 2 or 3 of them.

Didn't see the game but every year the frontrunning teams get the calls. Either the refs want to keep the oddsmakers happy (I'm not really saying this is is the case), or they know and might even be reminded by their bosses: everyone loves a winner.

Then, too, there are the times when the refs are reminded about a team's player committing this or that violation (see also: Yao) and overreact by calling every little thing against that player's team, that "human nature" fear of not wanting their bosses to call them out later: "Didn't I make it clear...."

It's going to be hard for any team to beat OKC, they are just dangerous from everywhere on the court. If westbrook and durant or durant and harden or westbrook and harden get it going, it's near impossible to beat them.

The grizzlies have a chance and I'd say that even the lakers have a chance to beat them because their front lines are so much better than okc's front line.

I have been watching the Thunder all year and they always seem to get these cheap calls in the 4th. The games are always close, but they win with 8 on 5 advantage.

OKC might as well be big market now, they're one of the most nationally televised teams and they sell out nearly every game. Last year they lead the league in free throws by far. Their was some crazy stat like they had converted more FTs than more than half the teams in the league had even attempted. The Thunder are the only real professional sports team in the whole state, like the Jazz are in Utah. Both teams are known to have great homecourt advantages.

Not at all. You forgot about the Oklahoma (football) Sooners. The Thunder take a back seat to them.
