Man I'm so happy I keep madly refreshing the forum to see if Myers or MW resigns soon too. :)

Have to give props to Rick on this but I have a feeling Foster's humble nature and lack of ego had a ton to do with it also. Credit to both parties and he's a case for signing "good guys" because they think team first.

Ya. Pretty much the only guys who can be pissed off by this move are the RB's that are still unsigned. Forte, Rice, etc... Neither were as productive as Arian recently so this contract sets the market for them.

That's just how it turned out after the new CBA went into effect I guess.

It changed from being the average of the current top 5 salaries to the average of the top salary over the previous 5 years.

    Great job by the Texans.

Just hoping we can get some of the other guys signed now.

    Well deserved for Arian though.

Texans got lucky with Foster. Stars aren't usually made like him. He is so comfortable with his place in the NFL its crazy. He could have told him agent to get him and Johnson/Petterson contract, but he didn't. Hopefully at the end of this contract, when he is 30, he is still a top back so Texans fans don't turn there back on him.

Why would he be? If that were the case he would have been pissed he didn't get a contract extension.

This is what I'm thinking, maybe Mario will entertain the Texans by hearing what they have to offer then scoff and sign with someone with crazy stupid cap room.

Maybe St. Louis, don't they have space? You know Fisher loves him some D-Ends, but usually they come on the cheap, besides Kearse in Tenessee (can't spell that stupid city name either, whatevs).

Sucks we won't be able to see him in a Texan uniform any longer, more than likely. :(

Arian Foster made $30,882 per game this past season. Next season he will make $1,058,924 per game, a 3329% increase.

Arian Foster will make more by halftime of week 1 of next season ($529,462) than he made all of last year ($525,000)

Are you kidding me, we got him for a great price and i seriously think its because he wanted to stay in houston. He's getting paid close to what dwilliams is making. And he has been so much better than Dwilliams, so how is that steep???????:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
