Ah yes, that old saw. Good thing I don't hate him. If he, in turn, is controlled by all that he hates, he is controlled by a lot of this planet. Not sure how that works, but maybe you can ask Gandhi for us!
http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/05/opinion/frum-rush-limbaugh-fairness/index.html Here is David Frum's take. He agrees with my earlier post.
If by explain you mean attack the media and then launch into GOP-approved talking points sprinkled with Newtie's own over-the-top rhetoric of ridiculousness, then yes, he explains it.
Obviously, nerdy boy. While, you were analyzing my thread, so observantly, I never once said any much about Limbaugh's childish tirade, except for it might cost him advertisers. Originally, I was being funny until some miserable poster came along and made rather useless observation of what I said.
he's responding because its political. read the rest of your post and he's just stomping on the throat even harder. four more years slut. deal with it
boy you guys don't miss your talking points. right on cue joe scarborough was saying the same thing this morning.
As I said, there is no equivalence between Limbaugh and Maher. As former GWB speech writer David Frum said: The last highlighted part, I think, is the most important. The whole reason why Democrats are asking Republican politicians to repudiate Limbaugh is to make the Republican pols choose between losing the general public and losing their base. This is why, as conservative commentator George Will noted, the John Boehners and Rick Santorums of the world are treading so timidly around their criticism of Limbaugh. I very much doubt that any Democrat will hurt his electoral chances by repudicating Bill Maher's calling Palin a "****." BTW, here's the Phil Gingrey story to which Frum referred: http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/01/29/gingrey-apologizes-for-limbaugh-criticism/
Giddy, I know you have his (enormous) back, so this is pointless. I have listened to a number of his shows, back in the day, when doing a lot of driving in red states. So I take the evidence of his spoken words, his collected life's work, to say, in my opinion, he hates many, many things, including a lot of other people, and including himself. We can disagree. You may see him as a kind-hearted savior of good things who gives most of his money away to charity. I don't know, and I don't care. I have enough data to call him exactly like I see him.
