I don't see this draft helping the Rockets much. I see a be bunch of guys who can be high quality role players and 1 guy who looks like he will be a superstar. The Rockets already have a bunch of high quality role players. They need a superstar.
parlay Marcus Morris, Parsons, and our 1st two picks into a top 7 pick. If we do our homework, we should be able to get a star out of the top 7 picks.
I don't know? New Jersey Traded a 7th round pick for 3 mid round picks. It worked out pretty well for them and pretty bad for us of course.
Only because we screwed up the pick. We would have been better off taking Joe Johnson. (or Tony Parker, Gilbert Arenas...etc)
Taking Parker or Arenas with the 7th pick would have been stupid only because we could have hung on to our three picks and drafted Jefferson, Parker and then Arenas all. Hell we could have drafted Zach Randolph in that draft. Of course like they say, hind sight is 20/20
"With the 14th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft ... The Houston Rockets select......" y'all know that much is coming.
yeah, i guess they must of had some home-town intel on how screwed up Eddie really was. Best draft night of my life ...little did i know.
By next week, we might be able to create the Rockets version of the thread. "Rockets draft pick starting to become valuable?"
Haha true. Last week they were about to be the 3rd seed. Now a few more losses could be around the 8th pick. Weird stuff
Heck no we can't. Like the 8th playoff spot in the west, the losing teams are in a fierce battle of tanking. The 8th and 9th spot taken by Toronto and Cavs, their record is like 12-26 and 13-23, there is to way we can get into the top 10. The best we can hope for is the 11th and 12th range, with utah and the suns still in it in the playoff hunt.
Well you are probably right about #8. But the rockets are exactly two losses out of the 10th pick. Which is where the warriors are at right now.
