I always say that +/- is the most useless stat when judging individual players and this just proves it lol.

Scola and Lee both with a -2 when they were the best players tonight.

Also Chris Paul with a -4

    Useless stat for individual performances.

Or maybe he's being showcased. And Twill did state that he would stay if he got playing time.

"He practiced really hard" and that's why he got minutes according to McHale.

Guys, its not like this is the first time we have got a look at Terrence. We all know his strengths and weaknesses. With extended playing time of course he would get more comfortable and fit in more with less of the bad, more of the good. Terrence got minutes over Bud today because the team has been on a slump of sorts, and needed someone who can get in the paint and make things happen for the second unit.

Also the team has struggled tremendously at getting in the paint to break down the defense to get easier shots, and Terrence is also one of the best rebounding wings in the league Per 48 min. Something they obviously have struggled with as of lately. The same weaknesses Terrence had before tonight that kept him on the bench are the same ones he had today and tomorrow.

We will see how much longer McHale lets him play if the good continues to outweight the bad.

Yeah and Daryl just said over the weekend that If T-Will blossoms it will likely be elsewhere. Maybe he's scared of making another Lin-esque mistake?

T-Will is more of a point forward. Having him and a point guard out there at the same time seemed to be a bit redundant and the scoring suffered a bit for it.

Well thats not the problem though. Its ok to have two guys who can handle the ball. The problem is the ball movement tends to stop when it gets in Terrence's hands, and he takes his man off the dribble.

Not necessarily a bad thing since he's a good passer, but they are going to have to run a more traditional pick and role type of offense if they are going to continue to have Terrence come off the bench as a primary playmaker. McHales offense suffers dramatically when the ball stops moving In/Out -Side to Side.

Twill did not lose us the game, the bench (with the exception of lee) lost us the game. Terrence looked alright, arguably better than bud on one of bud's off shooting night. He did make nice assists and create, but B-teams shots were not falling. Thats not twills fault.

I think twill should have been playing a long time ago, just like lin should have played over flynn.

I don't know about that but "practiced hard."

"Why/what was the reason behind Terrence getting minutes?"

    "He practiced really hard."

    Some of Terrence post-game:

Terrence: Felt great but also weird. Being in basketball form. Everytime you get the ball, you try to make the(a?) play. Sometimes that's not always smart. I felt I played horrible. I was cheering heavily(/a lot) down the stretch to win this game so we/I(?) can overlook my performance. Felt weird playing the game. I appreciate the opportunity to play basketball. ... Means a lot that its noticed(talking about McHale saying he practiced hard). A lot of guys pout. I was there my rookie year. You go about it the wrong way. You complain on twitter or to your agent. That doesnt help you. I try to play hard every time. ... Pleasure to see these guys compete hard. We tried to compete on the boards, we got out-rebounded, but it was a better performance. If we can perform like that, we'll be better down the stretch.

If giving Terrence playing time now at this point in the season signals anything its that Terrence is the one being showcased for a trade. However, I dont think thats the case.

I knew that the way Bud has played the past couple weeks + poor team play, it was time for McHale to make a significant change in the rotation. However, I thought it might be Morris getting playing time. I had no idea it would be Terrence. Kind of caught me off guard.

I'd prefer to see Budinger back in the rotation, contributing.

He's not going to go out and say Bud sucked and hasnt been consistent enough off the bench. Despite reasons he thought it was time to make a change in the rotation to spark something, anything off of the bench.

I really think the only reason TWill was in there was to defend CP3.

Not saying it was a great move but with Lee on the bench, it was worth a shot.

Terrence needs more minutes. I liked the hustle from him and his rebounding was excellent
