Maybe because all you always bring up stuff that doesn't relate at all to the OP? If you think athleticsm isn't a factor in this league you shouldn't even talk about professional sports. Yes, they have the same rebounding numbers right now, but Rondo has a higher career average and already had more 10+ rebounding games than Lowry will probably ever have in his career. If you look at this you are the one not replying to the category thing and somehow trying to make a point by always shouting out that Lowry is somehow this somehow that as good as Rondo, while not bringin up one fact makes sense. Your only point to "prove" that Lowry is better allround was by saying one word in caps. And just because Lowry has no weakness doesn't mean that it translates to being on the same level as a elite player that has only one weakness in his game, while he's the best playmaker of the new generation and one of the best defenders at PG. Write one f....in post that actually brings up a logic in terms of allround game, but I already know it will go "he REALLY is better allround" and will have no actual basketball logic. And if you don' think athleticsm means anything then you will wake up seeing a playoff series of Lowry vs. Westbrook.
This is the biggest straw man argument I have ever seen since coming to Clutchfans. I didn't say any of the things you just typed out and you literally built a paragraph of argument out of it.
Cmon, if you have no points then just stop writing instead of trying to make up something now. Create a sports column that compares these two and write "Lowry is INDEED a better allround player...because....he shoots better...and Rondo can't shoot...Rondo is not better, I can't bring up anything to back my point but I'll just throw it out...did I mention that Lowry is a better allround player because Rondo can't shoot? Lowry is good in many categories so that means he can't be worse than Rondo, right?" That's how your posts read if you put them all together.
Okay I'll just make it really simple for you, because your straw man is getting out of hand. I will donate 100$ to the tip jar if you can find my post where I said
You said athleticsm doesn't add into overall game, which is dumb. We are talking about who is the better player and I think everyone with a sane mind would agree that you have to take athleticsm into account when evaluating players. And don't make up stupid tip jar bets because I won't get into any depth with a jerk like you.
And it's great how again, you just picked out the one bit of sentence in my reply that seemed flawed to you while not replying to any other part. Your last three posts must have said "I didn't say athleticsm blabla"
I won't check into this thread again so don't bother answering, because you seem to not know anything about basketball or evaluating players. Join your 395 buddies and make a Lowry party.
Like I said, where did I say athleticism doesn't add into a person's game? All-around game means rebounding, shooting, passing. It doesn't mean how athletic you are. Again, find me the post where I said that.
Above average shooter? He shoots under 43% from the field. Just how bad do you think the average NBA player is? Rondo, it's not even a debate outside of Rocket's fans, in fact it's something someone would laugh their ass of if asked.
Can Lowry do half of this? http://espn.go.com/nba/recap/_/id/300509002/cleveland-cavaliers-vs-boston-celtics
Why FG%? Use some common sense please, even my grandma knows that Lowry attempts way more threes than Rondo. Rondo's FG% is inflated by his layups.
Again, FG% doesn't reflect on how good of a shooter lowry is. Chandler has 71% FG, is he the best shooter in the league? Gata think outside a little bro.
So three responses yet no one is putting the number up? Are we that embarrassed? I'm asking this % of shots he makes, while playing on the court while guarded by NBA players.
Lowry's fg% is lowered due to the number of 3 pointers he takes. Look at his TS%. 56.7%. For comparative purposes, Westbrook's TS% is 54.4%. Chris Paul's is 59%. Deron Williams' is 53.6%. Tony Parker's is 52.1%. Derrick Rose's is 55.6%. So yeah, I'd say Lowry is an above average shooter. Meanwhile, Rondo's TS% is 51%. The Rockets don't get national exposure so most people aren't aware of Lowry's improvement. But I'd wager those people would stop laughing once they saw the stats for Rondo and Lowry this season.
Look it up on NBA.com. He shoots 39% from 3s though and Rondo shoots like in the 20%. You obviously don't understand that a point guards needs to know how to shoot 3s to stretch the floor. It is the basic of the basics.
