They bring up a good point. McGee's dunk was nice, and Griffin has some style...but I want to see LeBrom, Wade, Griffin and others dunk it more like Kemp, Olajuwan, and The Glyde.
these are the kind of dunks i like <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/DKPVjcaO6_I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
lol Kemp is a moron, according to him T-Mac's dunk on Bradley and Baron Davis over AK47 weren't dunks because they didn't "bend the rim" what an idiot. Blake griffin's dunk on perkins was at least in the top 3 all time. I DON'T CARE if the rim didn't bend, His vertical was higher than Kemp's EVER WAS and I don't believe Scottie Pippen, MJ, or any other dunker in history could have made that same "lay-up". Whatever the hell it was it was more badass than all but maybe a couple dunks on bigger stages, PERIOD.
The dunk drew that reaction from everyone because it was AWSOME, not because everyone mistakenly thought it was a "dunk". It is what it is and more people believe that whatever it was, it was one of the most badass one of all time.
More power. Less finesse. I know there are less injuries today with all the new rules and flopping softening up the game, but I want to see guys take it in with authority and I want to see monster shot blockers. Seems like whenever Griffin goes in to dunk it no one wants to do anything about it. If he is coming full speed at Mutombo the last thing he would think about is drawing a charge.
Some of you guys are crazy!!! That's a nasty facial!!!! Definitely dunk of the year worthy considering it was against Ibaka, the leading blocker this season.
Do I think Kemp was a better in-game dunker than Blake? Yes. Problem with his argument is that some of his most famous dunks didn't 'bend' the rim, so he's discounting some of his greatest hits.
