Deng is definitely a better defender but I think because both teams played great defense which is really what it comed down to. I personally think Brewer is their best perimeter defender. I'd still give Deng the edge yeah, but it isn't that farfetched to say they aren't the same on the offensive end. lol.... their D wasn't only good because of LeBron. Ever heard of a guy named Mike Brown? It's all about scheme. Look at the Bulls and how they are now, there's a reason they're so good defensively. Tom Thibodeau. Taj Gibson somewhat makes up for Boozer, but again he's not a guy that can score on his own without getting the passes he gets from Rose. Omer Asik isn't even an impact offensively. Shaq and Z both had an interior presence to alter shots because they were big bodies. That's part of the reason for their interior presence, when you have a big guy, especially one that's experienced, it's definitely going to give you something defensively. I honestly don't think they were as bad as that record. After all that went on and them losing and gaining the players they did... (trades and whatever else) they could have won more games.. something like 35 or 36 games.
The Bulls do have better role players, I agree with you. But Rose makes a lot of those role players better too.
even though dwade isn't as good of a passer like CP3, Nash, Deron Williams, or Kidd, he's better at throwing alley oops than them. CP3 sometimes doesn't throw a perfect alley to Griffin, Wade alleys to Lebron is just flawless. Its unbelievable.
Lebron has lost in the playoffs when favored 3 years in a row now. Lakers didn't have HCA or Bynum in '08. If you want to compare Lebron to Dirk, then fine - few people probably have Dirk in their top 20 of all-time. Go right ahead with that.
Yet he still tried to act like it was in the 2004 Finals and shot sub 40%, while the guy that the team was built around was shooting 60% but for some reason wasn't getting enough touches. LA was the consensus favorite for that series, even with the injuries. Folks didn't even know how good Ariza was until the next year. The Cavs weren't the favorite to win the Finals in any of those seasons.
The Cavs were favored to beat the Celtics in 08 and 10??? Yes, they were favored to beat Orlando in 09. And they were still favored to win the Finals, based on how they blitzed through the rest of the regular season and the playoffs post Gasol trade. Especially considering how they dominated the Spurs. I'll compare him to Kobe and Dirk. You just want to excuse Kobe for his nut-ups. He rebounded from them and I think LeBron can do the same.
I kinda feel bad for Lebron after the Jazz game. He hits a 3-point shot with around a minute remaining. Then he hits a long 2 to put the Heat up by 2. Then he makes the RIGHT basketball play passing the ball to an open man who usually makes that jump shot in Haslem. If he takes that shot while being doubled, haters will still hate.
First thing I thought of... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LoOXKha7uL4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
"forgetting someone?" If you were talk to our man goodbug about this, he would tell you the Cavs roster had GOOD players but it was LEBRON'S STATS-minded BALL DOMINATING ways that "held back" the PROGRESS of the team and his players. Saying how all their stats got WORSE WITH Lebron. (which i think is laughable, cuz its to prove Kobe is better. But it does have statisitcal merit to it) I think Lebron's Cavs were just classic case of teams overachieving in the regular season and leveling off to their REAL abilities in the playoffs. A better version of the JVG Rockets
^^^ Mike Brown is a joke of a coach. I have no idea why the Lakers got him, probably because his asking price was cheaper than RA.
I think there was something more in that. RA is a vet coach, he must've seen what was brewing in the Lakers franchise.
LOL, none of the EPSN panel picked Magic/Celtics in the series those 2 years. You can check the prediction. The way you tried to change history is pathetic.
http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs/2010/matchup/_/teams/celtics-cavaliers Cavs weren't favored to beat the Celtics in 2010? LOL. Not even one ESPN expert picked Celtics. This is really pathetic.
I said they weren't the favorite to win the FINALS. Reading is fundamental, especially when you quote me and it's right there in the quote. If I need lessons on recreating history believe me I'll consult you.
