If a lazy guy who has been on this team for 3 months can call the meeting, that shows very poorly for the leadership skills of Martin and Scola, the elder statesmen of this team.
Clutchfans strikes again! Hating on a guy for trying to be a leader and get us out of this funk... There is absolutely nothing wrong with this, nothing but good can come from it.
If it's anybody who should call for the meeting, it should be Kyle. Dally probably just wanted to say to his teammates that it's his time of the year to hibernate, don't worry about him.
I think Kyle is OUR leader on the court, but I don't know if he is the vocal leader in the locker room. I could see Sam as that guy. Or...Hasheem
True that...or picking out those Diddy suits he wears on the bench every game. What a damn waste of money. I'd take Brad Miller back in a second.
I did not see Dalembert in the locker room last night. He may have been there and I didn't notice. But when I was leaving and taking the elevator out, Dalembert did the same. Quiet ride... he looked positively bummed out after the game. Also we had to wait for Kevin McHale longer than usual before his press conference. Made me wonder if he was getting in more talk with coaches or players than usual. He was visibly frustrated in the conference room.
If I were playing on this team i wouldn't listen to Dalembert, the guy is far from a role model when it comes to hard work. The guy has 1 good game in every 4-6 games. They better show some fighting, starting with Sam. Lowry is not the leader, time to trade for one..
The only thing Dally should call a player's meeting for is to apologize for such horrible effort and stupidity.
I understand the "leader" of this team should be Lowry, but if another player wants to call a players only meeting to hopefully put some fire under their ass after that pathetic loss last night, I don't give a **** who does it. The team is not playing on the same page and their play has been utterly poor these past 2 games. Dalembert needs to talk about himself in this meeting as well. Being out-rebounded in 9 straight games is sickening.
Dally is the single guy that played the worst. How's he gonna expect to light a fire under anybody else? His effort was the most pathetic. Dude needs to apologize, shut up, and play his a... off from now on. But, alas, it won't happen. Because Dally's career has demonstrated he doesn't have it mentally. All these comedic gestures of calling meetings, etc., McHale going balistic, is not going to change who these guys are. Playing at their very best, the tip top of their game, they may be able to squeeze out the 8th seed, only to get toasted in the first round. And when you take into account injuries, dings, fatigue, the very best we can expect is #9. They are just not good enough. They know it themselves. They know they can't stop people in the paint. And that is why you are seeing them capitulate. Oh, they may squeeze out another couple supreme effort games, but we will be right back here in a game or two if we don't continue the sinkage we are currently on.
the inconsistent, first year with the rockets center Dalembert feels like he is in the right position to tell other veterans of the team to have a players only meeting? Try being on time to practice first or learning to grab more than 7 rebounds a game if your 7 foot tall giant u scrub
