Limbaugh stepped over the line, several lines, long ago. What is a real drag is that so many on the right take him seriously, instead of just viewing him as an entertainer, which is all he is. The man is a blowhard. Limbaugh stopped being funny several years back. The appeal of the man to any sane person escapes me. Limbaugh is a slut. I'm glad he admitted it.
I've seen her testimony. Limbaugh has been characterizing her as a slut who's having so much sex, she's going broke and how she has boyfriends lined up around the block. He claims those her words and what she testified to. In reality, she never talked about herself or her experience with contraceptives. The bulk of her speech was about a friend who had polycystic ovarian syndrome and needed birth control to prevent cysts from forming. Technically, she should've been covered because she wasn't going to use the pills to prevent pregnancy, but she was denied coverage because despite her doctor verifying her disease, insurance representatives and university medical staff though she was lying about why she needed contraceptives. Unable to financially pay $100 a month for birth control, a massive cyst formed and she had to have an ovary removed. Because the University has a no contraceptives insurance policy for women looking to prevent pregnancy, it leads to them also denying coverage for women who need it for other legitimate medical reasons. That's what was in the testimony. No reasonable person would've heard that and immediately thought "slut". Odds are Limbaugh never listened to the testimony of the girl he decided trash. Can't say I'm shocked. He knows his listeners don't care about the truth and wouldn't acknowledge it if they did. He's losing advertisers over this. If only he'd go away like Glenn Beck did after his advertisers fled.
The lady is a slut. How stupid do you have to be to go in public and say 'contraceptives are making women poor'. Stop having sex then you stupid slut. Am I to believe that Democrats now think a person is entitled to safe, consequence-free sex at the expense of others. absolutely ridiculous. Heres Rush's view: According to CNS, a women would need to be having sex 3 times a day in order to be spending the $1000 a year this lady claims My guess is this lady speaks for about 1% of the population. No woman I have ever met is stupid enough to think others should foot the bill for her sex. You are being lied to
Craig Bannister at CNSNews.com did the math — and discovered that these co-eds, assuming they’re using the cheapest possible contraception, must be having sex about three times a day every day to incur that kind of expense. The cost of Birth Control Pills is binary, you either take one every day or you don't take any. It has no relation to the amount of sex you are having. If you do take them, you don't have to have Rick Santorum's baby when you get raped.
Thanks for some sanity! Do these people live in the real world? Honey, take three pills today; you want to be prepared for the gang bang tonight. WTF!
Does such a line exist? I think the greater issue is. . .. truly. . . DOES A LINE EXIST??? Modern Politics . . .it seems ANYTHING GOES you can use outside sources to say and do things that the government cannot do . . . We don't big gov . . mucking with our privacy but quite ok with Google and Facebook doing so We don't want officials saying these type of things but one of their Quasi Agents . . ie Rush . . can When they can direct the narrative . . .. they and change how it flows Rocket River
Anyway, to the OP, Seems that some of Rush's supporters that haven't pulled their advertising, such as eHarmony & ProFlowers, have altered their FB pages so that no one can comment on them (because they are AFRAID-- and they should be).
Generally speaking, aren't condoms free at universities and health clinics? Don't take birth control pills if you can't afford them. There are generics, so I'd assume you have to be dirt poor not to be able afford them. I'm not paying attention to what is going on here, but my personal view on somebody not being able to afford birth control.
This. WTF is going on guys? This country has many more urgent and pressing issues than contraception. So many assholes crowing over freedom of religion it is downright ridiculous. My sister was prescribed birth control during her early 20's because of terrible cramping and ovarian cysts. It wasn't because she planned to be slutting around. P.S. All of you men running about all day trying to dip your wick in anything that moves ought to be embarrassed to call someone else a slut. A word apparently reserved just for women, right?
umm whats going on is a "SLUT" decided to make a huge political issue about it and Rush said something dumb and this 'SLUT' is going to milk every bit of publicity she can get out of it. Which is why we are takling about it here. I don't like Rush one bit but he's partly right. Why the F does the govt have to pay for her birth control? If your sister needs birth control pills then by all means GO AHEAD AND GET THEM!!!! its no one elses business!. The numbers she threw out there are just ridiculous also. no just reserved for people like Sandra Fluke.. and by the way I would not dip my wick in this
Some woman asking others to pay for her birth control should be the issue, Rush calling her a slut was stupid. But it's no different than what Tosh or Maher or other entertainers do all the time. The indignation is silly. Imagine if some college male got up before his administrators and said he was getting so much ass he was going broke paying for jimmy hats and everyone else needed to pay for it. This girl going to $30k/year Georgetown acting like some victim is dumb. The whole thing is a sideshow, but it's the kind of distraction from the economy we can expect from now till November.
Very true. While Rush was over the top on this one, this lady is not "entitled" to free birth control. She is "entitled" to buy them herself. Honestly, the "entitlement" class is getting ridiculous. The Democrats and their policy of buying votes with "entitlements" is ruining this country.
Without looking at a story or link, I'll go ahead and say that as a media-dependent figure, consumers are entitled to know about and pass judgement his personal life. That having been said, enough already with the ******* hypocrisy police. I'm too black, broke and secular to be a conservative, but even I know there's more to the ideology than marital fidelity.
