I cant handle it any longer. He had been consistent for us for what, 4 or 5 years now? He just lost it. I mean LOST it. He more than lost it, he had it stolen from him and fed-exed away to Afghanistan somewhere in a cave. The dude is turning into a joke. His constant FLOPPING, which I believe he was the biggest flopper in the league, was funny at first but he backed it up with good J's from all over the perimeter, good rebounding, nice inside moves, etc. NOW every time he gets lucky enough to have a rebound magically land in his hand the opponent steals it or ties him up for a jump-ball which he always loses. His J's are no longer falling and his free throws are even bricking. That hustle just isnt there. For the first time in years I am HOPING they trade him because anything else is better than what he is producing. PLEASE Rocket fans, help me out here. Feel free to tell me if I am wrong which I wish I was honestly. I love a good debate/agreement/whatever. Someone tell me.. WHAT HAPPENED TO SCOLA???
Well I said for YEARS how Yao Ming sucked and couldnt produce for us. He bobbled the ball around like a kid and had it stolen and no one listened so now its mt turn to discuss Scolas lack of skills
The question is what team wants Scola? I'd say if the Lakers give up Pau in a trade, They'd go for him.
Doesn't explain the ridiculous butterfingers though. I cringe anytime he's holding the ball. You just know a turnover is coming.
Astro Rocket knows EXACTLY what they are talking about! Scola must have too much sandwich grease on his hands or hir gel or whatever it is that keeps him from not turning it over
Best offensive 1st quarter PF in the game. Worst 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarter PF. I love Scola, and what he brings to the lockeroom with his hard work, great attitude, and team first mentality. I actually wish that they could keep him on the team somehow. This young Jekkle and Hyde team needs his voice, and presence on the floor at times to help mentor these young guys, and provide some sort of veteran stability. Keeping Luis is actually fairly low risk. He still has a contract that can be amnestied during the life of his deal so unless there is another player out there waiting to be signed and the Rockets dont have the capspace, you might as well keep him until they need to Amnesty him, or can get good return back in trade. Trading him for squat makes zero sense unless they just need the cap space at that particular time which they dont. However, my issue is with the young bigs Patterson, Hill, Thabeet, Morris, etc... Its sad, its really, really sad that someone... any one of these guys that have more talent and abilities in their pinky toe have not beat out Scola for minutes. You know that Morey, McHale, and maybe even Scola himself would be thrilled if one of these guys would have worked hard enough and put forth the effort in the offseason to improve enough to take minutes away from Scola. Their effort is a shame to the organization. What a dissapointment they all have been in their careers here with the Rockets. Patterson and Morris still have time to redeem themselves but Thabeet and Hill are done with this team... good ridance you sorry sacks of basketball trash.
I think we may have the same problem the Lakers have with Gasol, no body is gonna play 100% knowing that the trade deadline is around the corner and that your team might trade you, I include Martin, Dalambert, Scola and lately Lowry in this group.
I remember a trade rumor article saying that some front office types around the league suspects that he's still bothered by a knee injury suffered toward the end of last season.
