HOU sends NYK first round draft pick

I find it too hard to believe that Stern isn't looking to move Emeka's bad contract. This trade saves the franchise a ton of money now and in the future and gives them some youngs, as the price for getting Gordon and a decent defensive big. They can probably trade Kaman to some other team in exchange for an expiring.

In the meantime we keep Martin and can send him out to a contender (I don't see NO wanting him). Maybe could pick up a guy like Granger or Wallace who can play SF.

...or send Martin and Dalembert out to Minny for Pekovic and expirings?

    Kmart has to go....

Its either Minnesota with a cornerstone of Pekovic or DWill
(Pek + Beasley + Wes Johnson for Kmart + Bud + JHill + NY pick is ideal)
(DWill + Beasley + Wes Johnson for Kmart + Bud + PPat + 2nd rd)

or Milwaukee with a cornerstone of Bogut...
(Bogut for KMart/JHill - maybe add 2nd rd pick...)
(Bogut/SJax for Kmart/JHill/Thabeet... if they wanna lose SJax contract)

either way - I'm good with it...

Bogut would be more of a wait-and-see next summer move.

If Minnesota made a deal, would Pekovic or Derrick Williams be the one shipped out? Don't know if Kevin Martin could make Minnie part with solid young players.

    No he doesn't.

The organization is not a big rush to move him like the fans seem to be.

Also what if Williams and Dragic actually play well enough to receive big money long term contracts from the Lakers after this season?

exactly. And if martin is dog poop, why in the world would any other team give the rockets something of value?

First, Okafor's contract isn't that bad (he's a much more productive player than Rashard Lewis at half the cost). Second, Kevin Martin alone is not enough to get Danny Granger.

But in my scenerio I swiyched Gasol with a cheaper/easier attainable Kaman

Also I would think giving up Lowry would have to go down in some way, form or fashion...but my trade in result was something like.....

    Dragic
    Harden
Wallace (if not Parsons is fine)
    PatP
    Kaman

Not going into all the details but I would sell high on Lowry and trade Martin and Scola if it could net me Harden.

That's like saying drinking urine isn't as bad as drinking bleach. Okafor's contract is quite bad. It's certainly not the worst in the NBA but there is definitely negative value there.

    New Trade!!

Gordan is all ways HURT! Why do you all want to keep going down that road?!

    Here is the trade that makes sense to all parties;

    HOUSTON GETS - Pau Gasol

ATL GETS - Luis Scola and Budinger

LA GETS - Marvin Williams, Kirk Hindrich, and Jordan Hill

Houston does it beacuse they get size and better defense upfront.

Atl does it because they get some inside scoring and something for Hindrich.

LA does it because they get a point guard, a big, and a foward similar to Lamar Odom.

    It's a WIN, WIN, WIN:grin:

Actually if you really look at the issues with Westbrook not actually being a true point gurad thus stopping the flow of the game and high turnover ratio alon with his average assist ratio ,Lowry would make more sence and come alot cheaper.

Lowry --True point guard ,young, toughness and cheaper..etc.

Westbrook--Shooting guard, not a facilitator(but can get his shot at will),expensive and seems to have a chip on his shoulder like Lowry but with more of a negative feel (Durant and WestB had been reported didnt really get along and ill take Durant over Westbrook today and twice on SUnday!)

Harden may not be on the block yet but to avoid the drama connected to players anticipated free agency and trades ,it may not be a bad idea to address this sooner than later.

I think Lowry to OKC for Harden makes sense...Then OKC can send Westbrook to L.A. for Gasol....EVERYBODY GETS WHAT THEY WANT OR NEED.

Rockets get the high-risk upside, Minny gets all the complimentary pieces they need to build around Rubio/Love for the next few years. Both teams use areas where they have too much depth to improve areas where they have too little.

U gotta move him now or next offseason - or let CLee walk... personally, I'd keep Lee at about half the cap hit of Martin...

And quite frankly, I'm sick of Kmart's constant disappearing acts.... last game he passed up shots just to throw the ball out to Lowry with the clock running down... his value is plummeting - get somethig now while you still can...

Lol weird. This is the exact same deal I've been making in my free time. I badly want Josh smith, a huge upgrade from Scola. Do that deal and then trade for a good SF and we are set.
