Normal account? This is the only CF account I have. If I had a 19 year old daughter who was dating a 40 year old man I would be far more interested in who the guy was and how he treated my daughter than how many birthdays he'd had. In fact, I can imagine many, many scenarios where I would greatly prefer a daughter to date a respectable, respectful, responsible older man than some 19 year old goon covered in tattoos and a baseball hat cocked sideways.
nonsense. for moral people nothing changes because your kid is 18. not that this jerk could ever be accused of being moral. might be difficult for you to understand but staying with your wife & deliberately making your daughter's remaining school days miserable can be separate issues.

I think some of you are missing the point. It seems likely that the relationship started while she was a MINOR and he was a teacher at her school. If she was just a regular 18 yr old girl that he met at a gym then it's nothing illegal about it. Creepy? yes but that's their lives.
Yes, exactly. I don't think the age difference matters one iota. He was this student's teacher. I'm a 23 year old teacher, but that does NOT mean I'm going to be pursuing relationships with my 18 year old students, even if that is just a five year difference. Being a teacher is more than just any old profession, you have these kids' lives, safety and education in your hands.
No one is denying it's creepy. Likely does not make it so. So until that part plays out, everything is legal. There is no need to overreact and try to introduce new legislation, etc, per what's suggestion.
That might be morally abhorrent to you but it's not illegal unless they are minors. Do you feel the same if it was her college professor? Maybe, maybe not. Still legal.
I wasn't commenting on any legality issues in that post, simply pointing out my moral objections. I do think it should be illegal for state-employed public high school teachers to pursue an inappropriate relationship with one of their students, be they 18 or not.
