One of the best news publishers of the last decade. Despite the comments from the reddit-regurgitating, immature, liberals on here, he was not hateful or dishonest. He handled Acorn, Weiner, NEA with dignity and class. Big blow to journalism in general.
There is no more hope. When we've reached the point where a man called be called a purveyor of a hate and his loss a "big blow to journalism," we're at the end. I know the Internet is serious business, but you will never convince another person of anything here. I believe Breitbart was a purveyor of lies and distortions for his own purpose. But, to the other side, I live in an alternate reality. There's no possible middle ground on anything anymore when people who refuse to believe that a man who has been factually proven to be a liar, many times, was in fact a truth teller.

When people think modern journalism, they will speak of Breitbart in hushed tones. Truly he will go down in the pantheon of legendary journalists. While some would place him on the level of Walter Cronkite, Bob Woodward, Seymour Hersch and Joseph Pulitzer, I would say they do great disservice to Breitbart's record. While these other legendary journalists burned longer, Breitbart burned brighter. He burned so bright that his sangfroid and genius alone blinded many a lesser mortal. Only those chosen few could behold his true self, accept it, and understand it. But even they would come away with tear streaked faces. I'm sorry, I would go on, but I find the sheer effort of even attempting to describe his magnificence exhausting. It's akin to Plato's cave, while I can attempt to describe Breitbart, I can never fully capture all that he was, all that he is. Let it simply be be known that he was a more than a man - he was a legend and that when the names of other legendary journalists fade into memory, his name will ascend to new heights and endure.
Well said. Enough with the bickering - going to piledrive a tombstone into this thread with the following. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/3DsKZFFikWw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as [breitbart] ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.
