Yes I would prefer rondo over Lowry 2 by jus a slight edge bcuz of his championship experience nobody on our roster has dat except our coach get er done morey plus rondo is a TRUE point guard
So if Lowry is playing at such a high level why was rondo a all star in the east Lowry wouldn't even be a all star in the east much less the west and I bet any analyst or NBA expert would agree wen I say dat rondo is ahead of anybodys top point guards list except us rockets fans I love Lowry but rondo jus has more expierence and a better overall game
I wouldn't say rondo has a better game, he has a much different game. The reason I would take Lowry ahead of Rondo is because of our supporting cast, sometimes we need Lowry to go off scoring because shots aren't falling for the other guys. Rondo is only a top PG when he is playing around top scorers. Not to mention we ready have great chemistry and I would rather not mess that up by trading our leader/captain.
Uh... because he's in the East? You know, where ESPN is located. Where NY and Boston fans get to be the center of the universe? How about because of past experience? There are a whole variety of factors. But ultimately, you can't deny the stats or what you see. Lowry has played 10 more games than Rondo - even though both teams have played the same number of games. Lowry has put up better stats, more efficiently, offensively and defensively, while leading his team, in the deeper and stronger Western Conference to a meaningfully better record. The Celtics are 2-7 against the West this year, btw. Don't forget the Rockets also have a new coach and system, and more new players in their lineup. They're basically the exact same age and Lowry gets paid half as much. The only reasons you'd take Rondo over Lowry are (1) playoff experience (which I think is meaningfully, but only to a point - Lowry can't be faulted for not playing with 3 HOFers), and (2) if you think Lowry's season is flash in the pan, which could be valid.
I don't want Rondo, but we could give assets to Boston to help Rondo get to LA, and get Pau Gasol here to Houston.
Championship experience 2 and yea he played with 3 hofs but didn't mean dey Wer suppose 2 win it bcuz if dey didnt he would of been da fall guy easily but instead he made da plays his team needed him 2 and came thru 4 dem kook at da heat wit 3 hofs possibly and dey didn't win it why bcuz no point guard and If I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure rondo has been on a all NBA team 2 and dat goes by how u rank in ur position 2
Boston gets Scola Martin bud dragic LA gets Lowry O'neal and 1st round pick Houston gets gasol and rondo I can dream can't I
Do you type that way on purpose, or do you not know how to spell? Don't get me wrong, I often have spelling/grammatical mistakes on here, but I can barely understand what you are saying. When it's all said and done, I think the Boston Big 3+Rondo will go down as a disappointment. They got the championship, but one would have thought they could/should have won more than one. That team was stacked with 3 veteran HOF players still at/near the peak of their career, a solid coach, and great supporting cast. In team sports, who you're playing with, when and for whom, etc. is part of the battle. See the Jeremy Lin story. Good/great players will always be good/great, but I don't see how one can fault Lowry for not making the playoffs / winning a championship. If Rondo is traded to the Hornets, I'd find it highly probably that he will see very little of the playoffs and not win another championship for the rest of his career. Rondo has historically been a better player than Lowry. Everybody knows that. That has not been the case this year, and that is because Lowry is playing better. Selecting Rondo over Lowry would be selecting past experience over half a season. Very very fair argument. I personally, though, would rather risk Lowry, at his salary, and his performance without the benefit of being in a better situation.
I'm typing like dis bcuz I'm posting 4rm my iPhone and not a desktop like u probably and I'm working and posting at da same time in a wearhouse and if I get caught I could probably get fired but I love my rockets and clutchfans so o well and I'm typing like if I'm texting do u type all perfect wen u text 2
Boston needs 2 make a trade just as bad as we do hopefully morey and mchale can pull sum Celtic strings and get der good buddy ainge 2 give in
To be fair, they were within just a few points, in Staples Center, of winning a second. Granted, there is no such thing in this case as "close enough".
mostly, but only since i made the switch to a smartphone. if you have an older phone, understood. more understood because of the working thing... it was just really difficult to make out what you were saying... true, they definitely got close. and they did have various injuries here or there. I'm just pointing out, the same way the Heat Big 3 will be considered underachieving if they don't win multiple championships, I'd say the same for the Celtics run. Hey, as a Boston fan, that's ok... way better than the alternative, right. But if we're going to point to championship experience as something on Rondo's belt, we should point to teammates and the fact that on the whole it's not like the team overachieved... they were stacked with talent. The Rockets are currently overachieving, and that is almost 100% on Lowry and McHale, imo.
I wonder if it will work to pair Rondo and Lowry as starters. Sort of like what the team does with Lowry and Dragic. Both these guys are capable of defending taller guys.
I don't want Rhondo simply because of his baggage. Then you add in the fact that we don't have the shooters or inside presence Rhondo needs and Rhondo isn't all that great of a shooter himself. That's why I say "no" to him.
I could somehow see a four team trade between the Rockets, Timberwolves, Lakers and Celtics. Celtics trade Rajon Rondo to the Lakers and Paul Pierce to the Rockets. The Lakers trade Pau Gasol to Houston. The Timberwolves trade Micheal Beasley to the Celtics, and Anthony Randolph to the Lakers. The Rockets trade Kevin Martin to the Timberwolves, Luis Scola to the Lakers, and Kyle Lowry and Hasheem Thabeet to the Celtics. I figured that might form the basis of some blockbuster trade.
Jackie McMullen completely shut down this report from Chris Broussard citing multiple front office sources within the Celtics, GMs who would love to acquire Rondo, etc. She gave some deference to Broussard saying, "He had to have gotten some information from somewhere...." and then went on to show why this is a ridiculous report. Chris Broussard is under pressure from ESPN to break stories as viewership of the NBA is really high right now, and I think he went too far with his language on this, if not outright lied. Rondo can be acquired, but they aren't looking to move him before the deadline apparently.
i wouldn't trade lowry for rondo because lowry can both pass and shoot but rondo is only good at passing. all he has to do is work on his shot
