Of course. But how does it improve the team in a time span of 5 years? Pierce and Gasol are going to past their primes when Lowry is going to hit his. And you want him gone? That is a very risky move that won't pay off. Teams are going with young superstars now or at least superstars in their prime, age 26-30.
This team needs a serious makeover!! Right now Lowry is our only bright spot on the team!! Decide who's in the future plans at SG between Martin or Lee. Parsons has defense and Bud can shoot but both are inconsistent and we need a player that plays on both ends of the floor. Patterson looked to be improving but is still just average at 7ppg 4rpg. Dalembert is manning the paint fairly well rebounding and blocking shots but don't know who's available besides Kaman so we need to draft Leonard this year. Trade off all the dead weight (Flynn, Williams, Hill, Thabeet, even Scola) Right now I hope we make the playoffs which gives us a slight chance to make noise possibly to the 2nd rd and we go ahead and give our 1st rd pick to NJ in what really isn't a deep draft talent and star wise. I can't wait for Motiejunas to come over and really would love to do whatever it takes to bring over Llull as well we really need him but doubt it happens. Just venting a little bit!!
Morey was able to swing a deal for Martin and then Amare before deciding not to take him based on his physical. Those seem like pretty major trades to me. Last year we made two trades on the day of the deadline.
Amare was not over 30 back then. Two blockbuster trades are difficult to do where we shake up the entire roster. I'm just saying that does not happen every year. He suggested we trade for one 31 year old and one 34 year old. DWill is ok though.
Just pack up Kmart and ship him out already. Let RA coddle his delicate ego... I'd LOVE to get back Pekovic or Derrick Williams as the cornerstone... but at this point I'll take: Beasley/Wes Johnson/Darko for Kmart/Bud/TWill just get Kmart outta here already...
I Like. I honestly think if Mchale can reach Beasley and Webster can play up to his potential, that we can make some noice in the playoffs. Lowry/Dragic Lee/Webster Beasley/Parsons/Bud Scola/PPat/Beasley Dale/Kaman That is a lot of flexibility, and we could match up with any team with players playing multiple positions.
Not trying to be funny or anything, but what is the purpose of this trade? Martin is the best player in that deal, and although Gortat offense is better than Dale, I honestly don't feel he is that much of an upgrade. I like Hill and Brown, but I would like to see what Morris can do once we clear some room for him to play. If you are thinking about cap space then this is a decent deal, but basketball wise I'm not really sure.
That's what I figure Phoenix would be saying. We'd be robbing them blind, but they're a dumb front office and they want to try to keep Nash and stay competitive, so maybe it could happen. Here's another one... was trying to think if there's any way we could pry Harden away from OKC. I doubt there is, but this is the best I could come up with... they could use a couple more good defensive bigs to go with I-block-ya and I'm sure they want out from Perkins' awful contract. HOU also sends NYK first round pick
Boston gets Scola Martin and bud La gets Lowry o'neal Morris Rockets get rondo gasol I can dream can't I
